Partition Or Seperate Drive For 64?

I just got my cd for 64 as I have dailup. Is it better to keep it on a seperate drive or partition the drive XP is on. Are there any good reasons for not putting it on a different drive.

Also is there a ati driver for my video card?

I am waiting on postal CD, tried about 10 times to get download, accepted order, but said could not reply to email address, tried about 6 differant ones on various servers, as soon as I ticked postal CD, it sent confirmation email. I love MS.

When mine arrives, I will set it up on seperate disks, theres bound to be a problem or two, so it will be easier to fix, I hope. I see many have it on seperate partitions quite successfully, looks like a case of personal preference

personally .. if u have a seperate drive of equal speed i would install to that .. less hassle in the end ... if the drive is lots slower then if u have space .. a partition

as for ati drivers ... the install has some basic drivers that are ok but lack a control panel .. but ppl have found some apps for changing FSAA and AF ... ATI will NOT release any official drivers for xp64 until microsoft says its gone gold and into production

I put it on a seperate drive but I can't get it to find my dialup modem. When I try to use the cd that came with the modem, it won't accept it.

Does no good if I can't get online. Any help? Thanks

Theres a thread about the 64OS, I think drivers for various 'essentials' are one of the probs, on the good side, it is being worked upon!

I have all the OS's in my sig all on one drive. The only problem I've had so far was my own fault when I accidentally deleted the wrong partition (oops!), luckily I found a free dos utility that could restore it. I used the Black Viper multiple OS install guide when I setup my machine: http://www.blackviper.com/Articles/OS/Multiboot/multiboot1.htm

As far as drivers for your card, there should be some on the CD that will work good enough. Mine was autodetected so I'm guessing your's will be too.
