MOBO: MSI GAMING PLUS WIFI Z890

CPU: ULTRA 7 270K+

RAM: PATRIOT VIPER VENOM 6000MHz 16GB x2

PSU: Corsair RM850e 2025 850W ATX 3.1

GPU: PALIT INFINITY RTX5060Ti 16GB (from older PC)

So the problem is my new PC wont POST, the CPU led is turning on for a less than 1s, then DRAM led for around 5s, then nothing, VGA or BIOS leds never getting turned on. No video signal from iGPU or GPU (i tried both, with GPU in, or out). Then PC can run for hours without turning itself off, but it wont change a thing, no video signal, nothing.

What i tried:

Trying with, or without GPU in PCIe.

Updated MOBO BIOS to the latest version.

Tried every RAM configuration, with one stick or two.

Looked for bend pins, nothing there.

Check power cables if they are stick to the end, they are.

I spend my last money on this setup and im getting depressed right now, i dont know what to do. I read that PATRIOT ram are often not compatible with intel 800 series, so i think my next step is going to return them to shop and buy from other brand, sticks that are on official compatible list of my MOBO. What else could i do?

What is the power rating in watts?

Exactly!!!
I am 99% sure that is why your computer will not pass the POST.

Don't do anything else until you replace the Viper RAM with different brand.
I returned RAM today, when i will get my money back im planing to buy one stick (for now) of "Kingston Fury Beast, DDR5, 16 GB, 6400MHz, CL32 (KF564C32BWE-16)" as they are listed as compatible. Lets hope it will work.
What is the power rating in watts?
it's "850W(atts) 80 Plus Gold" if i got your question right.

We need more information about the PSU. We also need the brand name and possibly some other letters and/or numbers that tell us which PSU it is. Can you take a photo of the PSU sticker with brand name, specific make and and other information? Can you also tell us the age of the PSU? That will greatly help us to learn about your PSU.

Its brand new, i got it the same day as MOBO, CPU, and RAM, so two days ago.

First, check the power supply voltage.

That's a recent quality PSU that we can exclude for now.

Let's wait for the new RAM to arrive that may fix the problem. User citay posted a topic about compatibility issues between Patriot memory and Intel 800 series chipsets: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?...y-with-intel-800-series-z890-b860-etc.417065/ .
This has nothing to do with that forum post.

First, check the power supply voltage.

Usually, when there is a problem with a PSU, it tends to be with an old and/or bad model, and either the board doesn't want to turn on, or it shows the CPU LED, it doesn't go past it. The voltage level (which one of the three rails?) is just one of the voltage's properties, even old/bad PSU models can hold that around 12V/5V/3.3V if there's barely any load or any load changes. There are other things like the PSU's ATX timings, such as the power-on time, rise time and PWR_OK delay, and of course things like abnormally high voltage ripple or weak voltage regulation, which can throw a wrench in the works.

When I urgently suspect a PSU of a failure, I usually don't bother measuring anything, I'll just try with a different known good PSU. However, from what he described, it doesn't strike me as a case of a DOA PSU.

This has nothing to do with that forum post.

Sure it does:

CPU: ULTRA 7 270K+

RAM: PATRIOT VIPER VENOM 6000MHz 16GB x2

My thread is specifically about Patriot's 32 GB kits (2x 16 GB) not being compatible with the Core Ultra / 800-series platform. Since he ordered other RAM already, the best idea is to sit back and await the results of that, which - given the original Patriot kit - has a high chance of solving things.

Sure, he can measure the PSU's voltages with a multimeter, but I doubt that they will stray considerably from 12V / 5V / 3.3V respectively.
