PD charging doesn't work if laptop is turned on

Hey folks. I have an MSI Stealth 16 AI, model: A3HVGG
As expected the type c charging works fine but the problem is that it only works when either the laptop is fully turned off or the lid is closed. As soon as I turn it on, it stops charging. Is there any way to make it charge it with C irrespective of whether it's turned on or not?
 
Refer to the product manual, the laptop supports power delivery with 90-100W, and supports with 45-100W when the laptop is powered off.
So, you should check the power supply of the type c charging first.

Second, type-C charging prioritizes supplying power based on the system’s requirements.
For example, if your system requires 100W and you are using a 100W Type-C charger, the battery will not charge.
However, if your system only requires 30W, the remaining power will be used to charge the battery.
