just did a fresh install of Windows and when i go to install the Chipset for the z590 ace it starts installing and right before the progress bar gets to the end it stops moveing and i loose connection to my mouse and keyboard? if i restart the computer my mouse and keyboard are working fine and it shows that the chipset installed when i look at the Apps but i know something is screwing up because i literally just did this the other day and the Chipset installed perfectly fine progress bar went all the way to the end my mouse/keyboard didn't disconnect even unplugin and plugging them back in wont regain control and the progress bar never reaches the end What is going on plz help!

Press Win-X and open the device manager, then check under "System devices". If you got a bunch of Intel(R) stuff in there like so, then the installation was successful.

But before i started fresh again with a new windows install i def did see some of that in my device manager. im kinda baffled as to why the chipset installer is randomly not working now. lol i just want it to install cleanly like it did the first time i set up this board :(

Try two different USB ports for the mouse and keyboard. Put them in the slowest ports (the black ones) or if they're already in the black ones, try the blue ones or red ones.

Are you using the latest Windows 10 media creation tool 21H2?
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
I'm using the same installation media i used last week to install the chipset on this very same board not sure what exact version but nothing has really changed much so i don't know why the windows version would change the chipset not installing when it literally installed just fine the week before when i first installed windows. i cant give it a try but idk cuz everything installed fine just the other week the only thing that has changed is i got a new m.2 which is the same type and brand as the m.2 that was already in it just bigger storage size

Are your chipset drivers on a SSD in the PC or on a external USB Drive
I would download all new drivers to your Windows Desktop and install from there kind of sounds like you have a corrupt install file

I'm am also noticing now that realtek control manger is now on the computer and realtek high definition audio drivers are no where to be found and i only see realtek usb2.0 audio drivers witch is odd seeing how the z590 ace is suppose to have the whole audio boost 5 and all these fancy sound components to it

Not a clue about the onboard audio as I only use USB audio devices

Update the driver manually in Device Manger and it should be Realtek USB Audio not Realtek usb2.0 audio this one is inbox driver.
