Hello all. I have a USB-C dock I use for multiple monitors but I'm unsure of something. I have some pretty demanding power needs for USB (IE: Recording equipment + high capacity external drive.) Because of that I need the dock to be powered if I want to use everything at once. My question is this... If there is a usb-c charging power source (the dock can charge smaller laptops) as well as the power brick/barrel connector plugged in, will that damage my machine? I have an MSI GE75 Raider.
The dock itself is designed for both USB 3.0 and usb-c connectivity, so I'm just using USB 3.0 currently. I still would like to know though since standard USB 3.0 docks are harder and harder to come by.
