So at the end what did you do to solve this? Did you update your drivers with Adrenaline, or did you take the drivers from the official MSI webpage? And which version of each of them?
Well, what I did is I created a batch file (attached) to remove all audio and graphics drivers (essentially removing anything related to Realtek, DTS, and AMD). And then downloaded the drivers from the MSI website, installed them.
Afterwards, I used AMD's update manager to
only update the AMD chipset.
Afterwards, I have used AVG's driver updater (now I am skeptical about using driver updater, but AVG is a well-known product). Using AVG, I updated the relevant drivers (e.g., audio, graphics) one by one, after each single driver update, I restarted the laptop to make sure nothing has broken and then proceeded with the next update.
All my drivers are current now, including AMD's audio drivers.
Note 1: The important thing is
not using AMD's update manager to update Adrenaline.
Note 2: The attached batch file (for whoever wants to use it)
keep in mind that if the driver OEM is different than the batch file, then the driver will not be removed. To
run the batch file, extract it, right-click and then
"run as Administrator". It will
only remove the drivers in the list.
