what are you trying to do exactly?

if your trying to play a movie on the TV from the tablet but display it on your screen start the video in the player then tap the menu button in the right corner to make it change to HDMI output!

Yes I am trying to watch a movie on my tv.. I am using an mini hdmi to regular hdmi adapter.  And on the video player, the right hand side options say nothing about hdmi.  Are you talking about the 4k player? or the player that is in the gallery.

Thanks for your response.

well as your using an adapter that is a heavy set of connections so put it down on a flat surface so its not straining the connector before trying anything!

recheck the connectors are all secure - go to display devices in the players menu and find the tv and tap on it! (if its not there what model is your TV your trying to use?)

Yes I laid it flat, nothing was moving all connections are tight.  I see no option that says tv anywhere on the tablet.
The model of the tv is a samsung ln32a330j1nxza 720p its an older tv made in 08..

ok on that tablet I'm not sure where it is exactly as its android (i have very little use of it and anytime i have used a HDMI its just been sent to a 1080p screen) but find the settings menu and find the one for HDMI as I'm fairly sure by default its trying to output a signal at 1080p @ 60hz not 720p @ 60hz and you will have to change that to fit the monitor (also when you plug in the mini HDMI does it bring up a dialogue box saying HDMI connected? (also make sure you have your TV on the HDMI in that its using))!

If I can get around to it, I'll see if I can setup my wife's Primo 81 on our TV and see if it works. I never tried, as I've been waiting to buy a Chromecast. But I'll see what I can do.

No, I do not get any dialog box saying hdmi connected..  And I can not find any settings anywhere for changing the hdmi output resolution.

Thanks again for the help guys.

OK I just tried with my Dell 24 in computer monitor, used the hdmi cable that is used every day.. No joy..  I think its the adapter.  I am going to pick up  a cable that is mini hdmi to regular hdmi.  If that doesnt work.. looks like I will sending it back for rma.

Don't have the cable, but I'll see if I can grab one today. Been a bit busy up in Canada so I haven't had the time to do it quite yet.

I'm sorry, I never got around to trying this out as I don't have the cable. I haven't gone out to get one yet, simply because I don't have a use for it. The Primo 81 I have hardly gets used, and now that there is a chromecast connected to my TV, the Primo is mostly just an oversized TV remote for Netflix for the TV for my wife.  :rolleyes_anim:

If I can manage to find a cable cheap nearby, maybe I'll grab one and try it out.
