Hi, sorry for my english but it's not my native language.

I recently buy a Pro H610-G DDR4 and pair it with an I3 13100 and 16gb (8x2) DDR4 3200MHZ. The DRAM light in the EZ Debug LED is orange and it won't boot. Not sure if it's a problem with the memory speed or that I need to upgrade the bios to be able to use the intel 13th gen. If the bios needs to be updated, can be done with this 13th gen, because I do not have a 12th gen cpu to do it. Thanks.

Current BIOS version is 1.2.

Virtually no 600-series board is compatible with 13th gen CPUs out of the box, it first needs a BIOS update to support them. Your CPU is only supported since BIOS v18, but you'd just install the latest BIOS version (v1A at this time).

Since MSI had the bright idea to not include the Flash BIOS Button / USB Flashback function on the H610/B660 boards, you will have no choice but to install a 12th gen CPU that's already supported, update the BIOS to the newest version, and then you can use your 13th gen CPU.

You could buy the cheapest 12th gen CPU you can find (that would be the G6900 for around 60€/USD), do the update with it, and sell it again, the loss will hopefully be just 15-20 bucks. Or you could ask a PC store in your area if they're willing to help you out with the BIOS update, probably for a similar small fee.

Update how-to, after putting in a supported CPU:
1) Get the latest BIOS. It's the topmost one on the MSI support page for your board: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/PRO-H610M-G-DDR4/support
2) Extract the file and you will get a text file and the BIOS file. Put the BIOS file into the root folder of a USB stick/drive.
3) Enter the BIOS by pressing DEL during boot, go to "M-FLASH" in the BIOS.
4) Once M-Flash (the updater) is loaded, it will show a list of your drives. Select the USB stick and select the previously extracted BIOS file on there.
5) It will ask for confirmation and then update the BIOS. It's fully automatic from there, takes about two minutes.

Only a B760M or a Z790 board would've offered support out of the box, and a Z690 board could've at least been easily updated via Flash BIOS button.

Ok, i'll try this and see if it fix the problem. Thank you very much for the help.
