Hello everyone,
I recently updated my motherboard's BIOS from version 7D48vAC to 7D48vAI (microcode update). After the update, I've noticed that my Realtek Audio device is missing from the Device Manager. There's no sound output, and it seems like the onboard audio is completely unrecognized by the system.

I recently updated my motherboard's BIOS from version 7D48vAC to 7D48vAI (microcode update). After the update, I've noticed that my Realtek Audio device is missing from the Device Manager. There's no sound output, and it seems like the onboard audio is completely unrecognized by the system.
What I've Tried So Far:
- Flashed Back to Previous BIOS Version:
- I reverted back to BIOS version 7D48vAC, but the Realtek audio device is still missing.
- Checked BIOS Settings:
- Entered BIOS setup to check for any settings related to the onboard audio. No changes even though Realtek audio is enabled in BIOS.
- Updated/Reinstalled Realtek Audio Drivers:
- Downloaded the latest Realtek audio drivers from the motherboard manufacturer's website.
- The driver installation fails because it cannot detect the audio hardware.
- Scanned for Hardware Changes:
Performed a hardware scan in Device Manager, but no new devices were detected. - Reset CMOS/BIOS Settings:
- Cleared CMOS by removing the battery and resetting the jumper.
- Loaded default settings in BIOS, but no change.
- Updated Chipset Drivers:
- Installed the latest chipset drivers from the manufacturer's website.
- Unfortunately, this didn't resolve the issue.
