Yes i use a 3 fan splitter that came with my Kraken x63, i'm about to buy a fan hub to use the rest of my fans on that connector instead of waiting for a bios update

okay i just tried using the pump header but with the exact same result - dc fan still running at 100% and curve doesn’t affect anything

I got it to work via a program called "fancontrol" it's some open source program that works pretty well, but only for the pump_fan header :/

thanks for the advice, i already tried it with fancontrol aswell, unfortunately it behaves exactly like in the bios and msi center.
i even tried flashing to the original bios version, but that hasn't changed anything either..

Yes he does.

MSi have been made aware of the Problem but no ETA on a BIOS fix yet

Your fine with 4 Pin PWM fans just not teh 3 pin DC fans
And you have to ask MSi about that any updates for it>>How to contact MSI.<<

Hi all, I'm one of the people that bought a case provided with DC fans and was disappointed to find that the Pro Z690-P DDR4 offers PWM control only
Is this a hardware limitation unfixable by software (BIOS) updates, or can I keep hope and avoid buying an extension card to circumvent the issue ? Asking because the previous posts are not quite clear to me. Thanks

Btw, I tried the pump_fan header, and it did not work for me (setting a curve had no effect), so this seems to be PWM only as well, as expected.

it is PWM only, DC fan is not compatible. Most likely it won't be fixed by BIOS update otherwise, MSI will have a BIOS that enables DC mode from the beginning.
