try out with a more powerful PSU then, the one with high current rating at +12V.
His PSU has 29A combined on +12V rails, in a system that could probably get by on just one of the dual +12V rails.

AOPEN has good PSUs (OEM Fortron Source).

Clear cmos and minimize the system( only leave cpu, cpu fan,VGA, memory on the mainboard) to check whether it could boot normally.

I try that all ready and still no post for me anyways, I don?t know about the other guy?
I Have Clear cmos and minimize the system only leave cpu, cpu fan, and VGA, I have done this a few times, once last night and this morning and also when I first put the board together. And with this shouldn't I get beep for some kind of memory error ,still nothing .

I have taken out the battery and let it stay out over 5 hrs still nothing. I have change video card trying agp and pci. I try with and without memory, try it out of the case and try a 500-watt psu. All the hardware that I put in such as memory, cpu, video, and psu are good and have been tested.
I getting power to everything motherboard ,cpu, CPU fan and psu and case fan.
I know when you try everything and check all the hardware and still get no post the board or the cpu is shot. I think my board maybe no good :crying:. I guess I think that something magical is going to happen if I keep trying and it will post.

I have also done some searching on this board and all over the web and I have found more than a few hand full of people that are having the same problem with the motherboard.
The guess I will try to return the board for another one and hopefully that will work.

I think you have tried out almost everything, sorry we can't help you anymore. Yup, it's the right decision to go ahead and return the board! Good luck with any future board you purchase!

No offence here but just to make sure, did you plug the 4 pin +12v molex power to your mobo?

That is the main power for the CPU chip only.

Well I finally got a post out this thing ;D.I left it alone for about a week. I was having a problem with xp on one of my other machines.

I decided to take it all apart again and put back together one more time.
The only thing is I might have to get more thermal gel. I had to wipe some of it off because it was smudged all over the heat sink when I took it off the cpu.I just wipe basically the edges off do you think I should get some more because it looks to be thinned out now, Or could it dry up.

You should buy AS5 for your thermal paste and clean the old paste off the CPU and heatsink.

Btw, what happen before you get the system running?

Well I feel kind of stupid, and I hate to admit it but I don?t think the cpu was in right,it in wasn?t tightly in :bonk:.
Just to let you know I?m on this system right now as we speak and is running great. I had no problems with anything other than my stupid mistake.

Well, I made the same mistake before :D.

It's best to double check in the future as this can caused the CPU to fry if the mobo didn't cut the power to stop overheating. ;)

what's the fan you use for P4 Prescott? The stock fan will give about 50C.

I have the stock fan in for now, I?m getting 45C, so I guess for now I?m alright.

Yes, that's alright. Isn't it noisy? I'd suggest get a decent quite one. and more rooms for overclocking ;D

Actually it isn?t that noisy, it makes a little noise when I boot up but that?s about it.
Ya I want to over clock this and I know I going to need a bigger and better fan.

oh ya, if you want to overclock, you'll definitely need a very good fan. But hey I'm not encouraging you to overclock as the overall improvement out of overclocking is merely 5%~10%.
