So I finally got my hands on the new 3080 Ventus. When I'm in MSI afterburner trying to set a user defined fan curve it won't let me set anything below 51% fan usage, and it's quite annoying because it's very loud. I know this a super new card but maybe the engineers are aware of this problem or if they are not here is a post about it. Thanks!

Please indicate what version of afterburner you used.

can you download and try Afterburner 4.6.3Beta1 as that will probably have support for the newest cards in it?

I will not argue whether it is cheaper, but it is definitely not a card to be discussed in this forum. I mean, even the top-tier model, the "lightning", is not to be discussed here and would always get moved to the other graphics card forum.

Do the search yourself: Products > Graphics Cards > Gaming Graphics Cards

Clearly the MSI Product Line don't agree with you

Well, this does look like something new. Yes, I do see that there is only "Gaming Graphics Cards" and NOTHING else, unlike in, for example, "Monitors", where you have "Gaming Monitors" and also other types.

And indeed, when I select the NVIDIA subset of the "Gaming Graphics Cards", I can see Lightning, Duke and other variants as well. THIS IS NEW. Would also explain why we don't see as much threads being moved away as a mere month ago.

Gaming Graphics cards section does only cover Gaming series cards and never did cover anything else. Lightning, Duke, Ventus and anything lese will be moved to Gaming section when detected posted here wrongly.

I did it so no more off-topic discussion about it is required.

On the topic badboy2k already pointed to the latest version of AB. 4.6.2 is from the time of RTX 20's release.
