Problem with two USB-gaming devices

I have a weird problem on the K8T Neo FIS2R. I have two USB gaming devices plugged in (Saitek X45, Thrustmaster Force Feedback GT). The Saitek is "on" every time since it does not have an external poer supply. The Thrustmaster I have to turn on, since it has Force Feedback. Both of these devices work perfectly when the othe one is inactive (Thrustmaster in off-position or X45 unplugged). But if I want to use the wheel with the X45 plugged in it just does not work right. If I check under the windows devices both of them work fine. But when it comes to ingame action the wheel is al f***** up. It seems, that the X45-axis is colliding with the wheel. I was using this combo on my former nForce2 board without any problems. Any clues?

Had a similar problem with a thrustmaster duel action pad and a belkin n52. I have front panel usb ports so I just hook up each one alone when I want to use them. Since they're hot swapable it doesn't make much difference for now but it sounds like a bios or driver glitch.

Having a front panel does make life easier but I have them hooked on the rear panel and don't really like the cables lying around in fornt of it. I have used the same DirectX version and them same drivers for the devices - it must be the board ...

its highly likely if they use the same drivers .. you will get problems if running both at once since the software wont know which device the drivers are working for .. dont blame the board for something which is a software related issue ..

As I had mentioned before - I don't think it's a software problem since the same combo worked on my previous board (nF2) without ANY problems ...
Maybe it's not clear what I mean with "the same drivers". This stands for the device drivers of each input device - never saw a Saitek device using a Thrustmaster driver ... ;)

it's almost as if a certain % of these boards have usb problems and half don't :(

any optical mosue wont work in my usb ports.

Hi

it's almost as if a certain % of these boards have usb problems and half don't :(

Well then, lets find out which USB drivers are being used

The XP original 1.1
The XP updated 2
or the VIA driver from Companion CD.

Are they all on same Bios?

If Ports are reacting differantly, it is more likely to be a driver or Bios issue

Cheers
