Problems with MSI GT72VR and graphics cards intel HD

Hello , i hace MSI GT72VR with graphic card GTX 1060 6 GB , the problem it?s in devices never see Intel HD Graphic card , never , i try Windows 8.1 and 10 in the laptop and never show this graphic card

By other side i can?t select graphic card i need in each moment , and button for switch graphic card don?t works , only it?s for turn off the screen and nothing more

For me it?s ridiculous , i can?t change the graphic card or select from NVIDIA?s control panel when this it?s improtant , because not necessary use always the NVIDIA graphics card

I contact with support and tell me the most ridiculous things , only tell me my laptop use graphic card as desktop and other GT72 use Mobile graphics cards , this it?s ridiculous because many models use GTX 980 and can change graphic card perfectly and all people knows if you have desktop , you can see your intel grapchic card and select when you want and i know perfectly because i have desktop SLI with 2 GTX 980 , and select my Intel Device and for gaming use the SLI with my 2 GTX 980 and i can see in devices the Intel Graphic

By this i don?t understand why in this laptop happend this 2 thing , i can?t select Intel HD , i can?t use button for switch graphic card and why and the most important i can see in devices the Intel HD Graphic card and only see the NVIDIA Graphics card


For me this it?s no normal and i want solution for this issue , thank?s
 
I have the same problem but i see it in device manager but it always starts nvidia card
 
Yes right , i don?t understand why i can?t see Intel HD in control devices and also i can?t select Intel HD in NVIDIA control panel , etc , this it?s ridiculous and also the button for change graphic card don?t works only turn off screen , and never see in specifications nothing about Intel don?t works , etc

People from MSI Spain tell the most ridiculous things as for example that this laptop use desktop graphic card and that by this don?t show intel , WTF ??? And what happend with MSI GT73 use Titan graphic card and you see Intel Graphic in control device , and it?s switchable , and all it?s the same to this , only change chasis , in this laptop happend something and bad , no sense this and MSI must FIX THIS AND NOW

The iGPU won't show up in the device manager without a driver. For some reason the GT72VR driver page doesn't list the Intel VGA driver (just the Intel Chipset driver).

Try installing this driver: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25620/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-10-15-40-6th-Gen-

You might have to reinstall the nvidia driver if this somehow break that functionality, as you should install the nvidia driver after the intel vga driver. Download the rest of the drivers from the MSI website to ensure compatibility. At least for now.
 
Hi i try install this drivers also but finally never show in control device , other people also tell the same about this , never show this graphic of intel , because in other models for see in devices you need works the switch of graphic and don?t works , in that moment you can see the graphic intel or NVIDIA if you chosso , by default all time show NVIDIA 1060 and no more in devices

This problem it?s very big , and by this my question and the other people in many forums , because this problem it?s serious , i need use different graphic because no play all time and don?t need have all time working the NVIDIA , and with Intel HD it?s enought , it?s big problem and in the other models of MSI Dominator , in all , works this , but in this not works , i try all i supose include use other soft from MSI and put other versions of SCM with the same result , nothing works ,  this put me very angry , this laptop it?s expensive 1800 eur and now more , and nothing for fix this

Have you updated BIOS and EC firmware for your notebook?


I would also suggest using latest Help Desk to export the system info and post the text information in here.
 
Yes right i put the new firmware and BIOS update from MSI Specifications , my Model it?s GT72 VR 7RD , happend in all VR , but not in other old models and also no happend in GT73 with Titan Graphics Card , etc , all people with these models speak about this , and don?t give us solutions and until buy this laptops see all specifications and never put sometjing about Graphics Intel or Button don?t works for change graphic card

Can some people from MSI give solution or tell something about this problem , thank?s , because never answer us and i think customers receive more help in other firms than here , if continue without help from MSI official never buy other MSI in my life , this it?s ridiculous absolutly

How it?s possible from official support i send emails never tell something about this and in specifications no put the graphic card no switchable , etc , many people have this same problema

Yeah we don't get access to the iGPU, neither the 62vr nor 72vr nor other new dominators with the pascals can use them.

No real reason, it's just locked in the bios. And the option cannot be accessed without hacking it.
 
I check the MSI user manual. These two do not have any physical button for switching UMA GPU. 

I think it should be the default design from MSI.
