Prospect 700R Owners: Have you found a way to control case fan speed when Sync Mode is either MSi Center or Motherboard?

On my Prospect 700R, I can control case fan speed when control is given to the touch panel. However, if I want better control of my fan RGB, I need to give control over to either MSi Center or Motherboard.

The problem with this is that MSi Center's Cooling Wizard has no effect on case fan speed when attempting to manually control via a Sys Fan header. Also, when giving control to the Motherboard, third-party software like Fan Control doesn't seem to take control either.

I can only assume that the built-in fan controller doesn't play well with MSi Center or third-party software. Has anyone found a way to control fan speed when Sync Mode is set to MSi Center or Motherboard? I could simply leave case Fan Control set to Panel, but then that severely limits your RGB control of the case fans.

were you able to control the fan speed with older MSI Center? does it stop working after MSI Center updates?

Yes, my ASRock B650E Steel Legend WiFi motherboard is able to control the PC case fans of the MSI Prospect 700R.

It works by going into it's BIOS and finding fan control settings there.

Check if your motherboard/bios can do the same... Quite handy to have, it's actually my default setting to give control to the motherboard.

I think once control is giving to motherboard it might also be possible to control it from within windows through asrock software.

I was having trouble controlling case fans, but not the CPU fan. It turned out that when my Codex Z2 was assembled, the tech must not have set the bios correctly for the fans in use. They were set to PWM, but the case fans were DC. Once I reset those headers, the bios controls, and MSI Center worked. I set silent mode, and now the PC is very quiet.
