Hi -

I am a happy owner of the PS42 8RB. Recently I have attempted to setup dual monitor extended displays and have encountered some issues.

What was not clear in the beginning was that neither the USB-C nor the Thunderbolt ports support display outputs - can someone please confirm this is the case, or have I false info ?

Secondly, if anyone has managed to extend the display to dual monitors how did you do so ? It appears now the only option is to pay 200+ euro for an external display hub. Finding one which is compatible with my OS (Ubuntu 18.04) is a bit of a crap shoot.

Many thanks for any and all info.

Hello, the PS42 could only use HDMI to have 1 external display, not able to use Type-C to transfer because it's USB3.1, no Display Port or Thunderbolt function.

The Type-C on ps42 doesn't support TB3.
(certain model of GS can support TB3, FYI  https://www.msi.com/Laptop/GS63-Stealth-8RD/Specification )
