Hi, I'm a newbie at building computer, however I'm currently putting one together.  I'm actually also done, but I just need to connect my DVD burner.  That's where the problem lies.  I can't seem to find where to connect the DVD to the motherboard.  I believe my DVD uses the wide '40way Ribbon and this mobo doesn't have the socket for that.  So, I'm stuck at this point.  So, help will be greatly appreciated thanks.

This is the DVD I own btw http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136144

I'm guessing you really mean the P67A-C43, not PS7A.  The board only supports SATA drives.  You'll need to get a DVD drive that is SATA--which are really cheap.  You can't use a PATA drive with this motherboard.

I recently purchased one of these for upcoming P67 build. It's detected as a Samsung by the way:

I suppose just about any of the inexpensive ones should suit your needs though. When I got mine it was OEM and came with drive and software only and $5 less than the retail packaged one there now.

lol yes that was horrible typo and definitely meant P67A.  Is there such as thing as a conversion adapter or some sort that I can just purchase from Best Buy?  Yeah, it maybe cheap but if I can save $25 and the waiting, I would rather go that route.

Ok, I looked around and it looks like the converters are $18ish.  So, I might as well get another optical drive.  Anyways, this is good right http://www.amazon.com/Lite--LightScribe-Layer-Drive-IHAS424-98/dp/B002SIMPXM/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1307522361&sr=8-7 ?

That is exactly why I didn't even mention the converter.  A new SATA drive would be as cheap if not cheaper.
