Pulse GL76 battery drop to zero but...

I've searched the forum and found a lot of thread like this, but they all point in a different direction, a worn battery.
My issue is different. I almost use the laptop connected to AC power, as the battery life was always very short (about 1 hour using full power profile). Now the battery is at 80% (I've set in the preferences to charge at 80%max), AC connected, and if I disconnect the AC power, the battery slowly drop to zero in about 50 mins. Laptop is 2 years old so this is ok. And this is a sign that the battery is working, at least for 50mins.
But, if I switch off the laptop with the battery at 80%, and then I switch it on WITHOUT the AC connected, as soon as I input the Windows pin, the battery goes to zero. I can manage to see the empty battery icon, and then the laptop shutdown itself. I connect again the AC, switch it on, see the battery indicator at 3% and charging, and then in about 15 mins the battery is again at 80% (and this makes no sense as in 15 mins you cannot charge completely a battery that was 3%).
If I switch it on WITH the AC connected, do the Windows login and let the desktop appears, I can see my battery indicator at 80%, disconnect the AC and use the laptop for about 50mins (so the battery is OK, it can't be worn).
I can't remember when this started as I always use the laptop with AC and very rarely without it.
This is clearly a software issue as the battery is capable to mantain the laptop on for more or less the same time as when it was new, and losing some % is ok as it is 2 years old.
Any hints?

A snapshot from the battery report in which you can see very clearly the issue: at 19.54 the battery was at 75%, at 19.56 drop suddendly to 5% after the reboot and reconnecting the AC, and you can see it goes from 5 to 80% in 25mins. Then I disconnected the AC, and it went from 80 to 48 in almost 25mins, and that leads to total capacity of 50/55mins, that is ok for me. You can also see that the design capacity is 52Wh and the full charge is now 38, so the battery is worn, but it shouldn't drop to zero in this way.

Kindly recommend to change the setting for the battery charge to 100% and perform battery calibration after that.
Download "System diagnosis" in MSI Center feature set and follow the steps to perform battery calibration.

Thank you Edric, I'll try it. I've already seen this function but never go ahead because was quite long and not in the right moment of the day

Did it Yesterday evening. And no, as soon as I rebooted the laptop, it went straight to zero. But, during sleep time, ny brain was thinking, what if I disconnect the AC BEFORE switching off, let the laptop go to battery power, and then switch it off. And guess what, next boot from battery went fine. So in these days I'm monitoring the behaviour, maybe this could be a workaround. But it is definitely a software issue, battery is fine, even if not with full original capacity

No way, this is not a workaround, did it again just now. As you can see, the drop to zero is almost instantaneous, and so the charging. Beside that a new battery is at least 100€, will it solve the problem? Plus the original one seems to be discontinued. I've never owned a laptop that after just 2 years needed a new battery...

I think the issue could be solved after replacing the battery.
But I would kindly recommend to create a web ticket for further assistance, maybe it will help figure out any possible risks.

At the moment I dont want to replace the battery as I can't source the original at a reasonable price, and I dont want to buy a compatible one. I'll stick with this "bug" as long as I Will be able to have a usable battery when, rarely, on the go. I'm very satisfied with the performance of the laptop, in relation with the price I paid 2 years ago, but in the future I'll think 2 times to buy another MSI. Honestly, is there any sense in a laptop that just after the warranty period needs a new battery? Plus, who says that after 2 years I'll need another replacement battery? Not my cup of tea...
