Dear all.
Can anyone explane me the very strange situation with my Intel graphics card. In October 2023, I purchased MSI laptop Pulse GL 76. It has a Customer installed Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics. There is a notification about the updates: Customer installed graphics card etc. Everytime when Intel wants to update the driver and does it, then two-three days later the WIndows Update Center dowloads back the old driver of 2022 and installes it back. Intel wants to update their drivers, Windows then installs back old one. Then why this happening? Why I cannot install new drivers to my Intel graphics card. Never seen such situation with other laptops before. Please help!

I have windows 11 Pro 24H2. I have OEM-installed Intel Iris Xe Graphics with a driver of 2022. Whenever Intel installs a new driver, the Windows update center the next day downloads and installes that old 2022 driver back. I tried to delete that driver and make new install, but the next day I have the same issue - Windows update center downloads and installs back the old driver. Yesterday it did this again, but I rolled back its old 2022 driver to the new 2025 driver. Let me see what will happen. If I have the same issue, I will try DDU tool you sugested. Thank you very much for your help!

Do you have "Update drivers" or something similar activated in the Windows Update settings?
I don't know how exactly it is called because I have Linux running.
If it is on and you turn it off then I suggest to use the Intel Update Assistant for driver updates.

I tried the DDU tool yesterday and followed all instructions indicated. Deleted everything associated with my Intel graphics card. Downloaded and installed the new one. Though it would help. But right now Windows is downloading again the old driver issued in 2022. There is nothing to do now. I have never seen such a stupid situation with Windows and Intel

Check you Windows Update settings.

Just follow the instructions, but make sure not to do a CLEAN INSTALL, this way Intel driver will install over the older one and Windows Update will stop trying to update it.
Microsoft at it's best, Windows 11, a pure work of art, same as the bloated mess of Vista, W8 and W8.1 :deadlaugh:

I had Vista on my X7BSV and it was a good system. But I had 12 GB RAM to a time a 4 GB was standard.
I had Vista on my Toshiba A300 with 4GB of RAM, it took 12 minutes to boot in Windows, it was an HDD, but still?
I hated it, worst piece of crap ever, same as 8 and 8.1, I kept using 7 until 10!
I loved Windows 98, 98SE, XP, 7 and 10.
Windows ME wasn't so bad, but did not stay long.
W98, 98SE & ME you could change everything you wanted in the OS, was awesome back then.
Microsoft wanted more control, then came XP, then the remotely controlled and constantly connected W7 SP2,
spelled doom to modders all over the world, especially games and programs.
Once Windows 10 then 11, now big brother is always so ever present, constantly watching.

I tried various ways to solve this issue. Nothing helped. Windows anyway downloads and installs back the old driver. Stupid one! PoS! Decided to abandon this idea! And that's true - Windows 7 was the best one. Never had any issues when using it for years! That case when the new technologies are worser than the old ones! Stupid 11

Look closely in your Windows Update Settings. Somewhere is a setting "update drivers" or something. Is this off?

I can't set off downloading the exact Intel drivers in Windows Update system. I can set off updating all drivers, but this is not good for other system applications. There is no way but to abandon the idea to solve this issue and leave the old 2022 Intel driver as it is. Before I had another MSI laptop and there were no issues like this. Don't know why this model is causing me such problems.

So what the benefits of the new intel gpu driver? Me using msi oem intel driver from 2022 on my gf66, see no reason to update it cuz it works stable without any issues.
ps intel recommend to use OEM drivers instead updating it to universal new. Can see here or here.

The reason is that the performance of my Adobe Premiere Pro is notably higher with the Intel 2025 driver in comparison with old 2022 one. Checked several times. Then why not to have a new driver with better performance???

Adobe Premiere Pro
Hm, probably some specific apps runs better with the new drvrs. I have tested OEM intel drivers vs universal new past summer in games and benchmarks and OEM driver provided +10% more fps in games and +5% more points in the 3d mark benchmark. Mine cpu is i7 12700h.
If you need to disable windows rollback to the oem driver you should disable windows drivers update. Google howto "ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate" registry key.
