I have purchased a MSI A1M ultra 7 for my son.
He is part of our family plan and his user is set as a "Standard User". Everything seemed to install correctly and the MSI Center M seems to run ok, but when you open the MSI quick settings on the Microsoft Gamebar it's blank, and does not show any settings. I have tried restarting and even resetting the gamebar but it will not display any of the MSI quick settings.

The only way I could get it to work was to change his user account to "Administrator", then reboot then the MSI Quick Settings display correctly on the GameBar. I don't want to set him as an Admin but just as a Standard User so I can still use the Microsoft Family settings, but MSI Quick Settings doesn't seem to work under a standard user account.

Has anyone else seen this issue, or know a solution?
Are there any solutions while using a standard account?

I know it is inconvenient for you, but I think the software is not supported to be used without an administrator account.

Is there any other software that can be used instead that does allow it to be used as a standard user?

Sadly, there isn't. So the way MSI Center/Gamebar quick settings works is that, it accesses CPU's hardware registry. This happens at kernel level. For those who don't know about kernel, it's like a safe in the house. Not everyone in the house has the access to it but a few who have the key.

You can do 2 things,
1. Give your son a local account admin access.
2. (If you're comfortable and have the knowledge) Use task scheduler to run MSI M Center & the Gamebar at startup with highest privileges on your son's account. (I haven't tried this but it should work)
