Questions - Modding A Motherboard BIOS

I just have a quick question I am hoping someone can answer...

Does MSI prevent the users from flashing a modded BIOS onto their motherboards?

Do other manufacturers such as ASUS, ASROCK, GIGAByte, etc allow the user to do this, flash a custom BIOS?

Can someone talk to me about modding a BIOS? What process do you take to do such a thing?

You can checkout the Win-Raid.com Forum's dedicated BIOS modding section.

Any DIY modding to the BIOS and/or hardware is done at your own risk.

Yeah. win-raid
I got instructions there for adding nvme boot support to old 990fx motherboards.
(the m2 drive goes on an adapter card which plugs into a pcie 16x(4x) slot).
UEFI BIOS is modular and modules can be added or removed fairly easily.

But you will learn a lot once you go there, highly recommended.

If you have a motherboard that is loaded without the motherboard working with a flash from the outside, why not, you will continue to load the original bios from where it was installed.
