RAM compatibility for GF63 Thin 10UC (Max 64GB, DDR-2666, 2 slots)

I have an MSI GF63 Thin 10UC (11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-11400H @ 2.70GHz 2.69 GHz).

I want to upgrade my RAM. According to MSI's website, the GF63 Thin 10UC can take "Max 64GB, DDR-2666, 2 slots".

Does this mean I can buy ANY RAM that is DDR-2666 as long as it's not more than 64GB? How else can I check compatibility? Can't find anything more specific.

Could, for example, Corsair Vengeance CMSX64GX4M2A2666C18 (2 x 32 GB), which says it's DDR-2666, be compatible? This seems to be the best option in terms of availability and price where I am (Norway).

As you can probably tell, I'm not the most technically knowledgeable, so please bear with me!

Regarding the memory compatibility, it is recommended to ask the local service center or ask the technician to upgrade for you.
Or you can post the official web ticket to ask the technician.
It is safer if you can not recognize which memory is compatible the laptop.

The MSI GF63 Thin 10UC is a 10th Gen Intel, not an 11th Gen, so either you have the wrong model you typed, or the wrong CPU.
If it's the 10th Gen, do you really require 64GB?
When you install the maximum of RAM that your laptop can support, you increase a lot the possibility of issues that might arise.
My best laptops have 32GB of RAM and the others 16GB, never had any problems upgrading, but I always used Samsung or G,Skill.
The best is always 2x8GB or 2x16GB, if you choose 2x32GB, I strongly recommend that you open a ticket with MSI to confirm compatibility.

It all depend what you want to do with it...
2x8GB = 16GB If mostly for gaming and have a few tabs open in a browser or browsing internet, watch videos, streaming, office work, light video encoding/editing, light 3D rendering, 1 or 2 external screens, etc
2x16GB = 32GB If heavy gaming with multiple browsers and multiple tabs open at the same time, heavy video encoding/editing, frequent multitasking with several simultaneous office apps open, 3D rendering, CAD, more than 2 external screens, etc
2x32GB = 64GB If use for professional video encoding/editing, heavy 3D rendering, lengthy CAD, heavy multitasking, several 4K screens, home/office server, etc

Of course you would want to have an i7 or i9 for best use of 32GB and 64GB of RAM.
If i3 or i5, I would stick with 16GB maximum.

You have less troubleshooting to do with CL that are less aggressive.

Yes I would recommend if you choose to go with 64GB, to verify with MSI, what they recommend.

P.S. When I game on recent games on 4K screens with a few tabs open, I use a maximum of 18GB and even when used other apps, I never exceeded 24GB.

CL is Cas Latency = access time of the RAM
No problem with having more than 16Gb, is just that the i3 or i5 cannot adequately use the full potential of more than this.
The i5 will support up to 64GB, but will not use it as well as an i7.
The i3 can support up to 32GB, but will not use it as well as the i5 or i7.
So purchasing more than 16GB, doesn't seem as a wise investment, in your case!
