I have just built a new pc using intel i7 14700k with msi pro b760 p wifi, Corsair Vengeance 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR4 RAM 3600MHz. (placed in slots 2 and 4) I have updated the Bios and enabled the XMP but the ram is still running at minimum speed of 2133. Any ideas?

are you using 7D98vAD bios? have you also updated the Intel ME?
if you use 1 pc of memory, will the memory speed goes up?
if you manually set the memory to 3600Mhz, will it stays in that speed?

the bios version was updated to 7D98v1G from their website. mobo all updated through the MSI driver utiliity installer. I have tried using 1 pc of memory and the speed is still running minimum. I'll try and manual method and see how that goes. Thanks for the suggestions.

That board is not the best match for a 14700K, see here (and here). But even with it being a lower-end board, it shouldn't limit the possible DDR speeds too much, so that can't be the sole explanation for the RAM not working at XMP.

What exactly happens on the next boot after enabling XMP? Does it take some time doing memory training, and then you get an "Overclock failed!" message where you can enter the BIOS again?
