Hi
I'm going to upgrade the SSD on my GP62 7RD Leopard. I also have a 1TB internal HDD - do I need to back this up before I swap out the SSD? I'm a newb at this so please treat me as such.
I've created a USB of Windows 10 ready to go.
Equally, what else do I need to consider?

Can't believe how cheap NVMe m.2 SSD is now
I'm extremely late to the party on NVMe m.2 SSD. I've just recently put a 500gb Samsung 970 EVO plus in my desktop.

I think it's always wise to back up any data or hard drive before taking the plunge. I moved all of my data on my old SSD containing the OS onto another disc drive prior to migrating the OS onto the new NVMe. It was a bit of a faff because Samsung's migration tool didn't work out too well for me, it would get to 99 percent and then wouldn't complete. I had to get my buddy in to get the OS onto the NVMe because it was too technical for me. You'll also need to make sure you have the NVMe drivers loaded, well that's what I did.
