I updated my PRO B660M-A DDR4 bios from 7D43v1E to 7D43v1F through MSI control center, after that Realtek Audio is not detecting/showing in Windows 11 and Windows 10 dual boot OS. The Audio is enabled in Bios.

Same problem on my MPG B760I EDGE WIFI DDR4.
Update from 7D40v17 to 7D40v1C and realtek sound is missing.
Downgarde back to 7D40v17 doesn't help me.
Only downgrade to initial BIOS 7D40v12 was help me.
What's wrong with you MSI? Almost year was gone from first message and problem doesn't solved?
It's unbelievable!!!
If MSI didn't solve problem ASAP or release a news that they knows about this problem I think it's time to start forgot this manufacturer and migrate to another(((

@ComputerRepairExper152f02d1 I have to say it's not Alan's fault that you have 20 bad boards sitting in the office :sneaky: while Alan tries to help as much as he can, feel free to get the MSI USA team to help you. But hey, you're the computer repair expert :ROFLMAO:
Anyway, MSI moderator has their own MSI contact and they constantly support us with patch BIOS and software.
Good luck with your finding from MSI USA team, hope you get some better news and can share with everyone.

You liteary come aut out accuse me of supplying fake un-authorised Bios containg a Root kit you have no Idea how the system works but just had to go and dump you incorrect 2c worth of knowlege Insulting me and every other Global Moderator on this Forum

For a decade, the USA techs were all Taiwan transplants, but now the current techs are young and American born... slightly rude, somewhat overworked and worse... deny there is a problem.
It is an eight-month-old problem with the solution implemented by MSI Taiwain and yet the USA once again dropped the ball on support
This is not MSI USA Forum but one run By Taiwan for the Global Market and that is who I deal with for our Support Request Not the USA
The Global Moderator team put in a request for forum users to get the support needed.
MSI USA should Know about the problem it is pretty well documented and links on the MSI USA website do point users to access this Forum for the assistance they apparently can not supply
MSI USA team members confirmed there is NO WORKING BIOS SOLUTION for the Realtek Audio problem.
This is so incorrect I don't know what to say but comes as no surprise after the number of complaints that hit the Forum about some countries's Support services.
.
The USA manager gave me permission to stay in touch. Of course, I will alert the forum when the patch is published on the drivers page in the bios section.
They apparently don't know of the Current Patch and you believe they will inform you about a Patch they have nothing to do with.

I can tell you now out of all the Bios I have sent to end users only 4 have not had a successful Flash

Let's make this simple. I spoke to the MANAGER of MSI USA customer service. I never SPOKE or wrote directly to you. I simply explained to other people in posts that the only authorized people to alter, issue or create a bios code update is Taiwan USA. I told everyone the risks of accepting code alterations from anyone but MSI HQ.

You took it upon yourself to interpret the words I used as a direct personal attack on yourself. Sorry, but this is not just wrong, it is borderline dysfunctional and non-professional. Any real tech whose profession is to build, service and repair computers understands my warnings, my statements about MSI policy and why I refuse to accept solutions from non-corporate individuals.

In all your posts to me directly, you select a choice response to something that emotionally irks you but ignore still the facts as if they did not exist. I trust any conversation and advice from MSI USA over any person who posts in this forum. How about you call MSI USA directly, speak to the head customer service representative and tell them you have a bios patch that THEY never heard of? Why not share it with them for testing? Right. NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. This argument is officially ended. I do not want to argue with someone who does not make sense and does NOT answer my most important logical points.

Sidorov. If you are in the USA, then I recommend you open a ticket on their support web site. If that fails (I cannot seem to open a ticket) then call MSI directly, the phone is 626 271 1004. If you are not in the USA, see the website to find an office near your country. Once you speak to at tech for motherboard support, have ready your serial number for that board and locate your receipt of original purchase. In my first experience with my board, which is not the same as yours, the tech asked me to go backwards in time on earlier bios versions until I see the exact bios that works, then identify the NEXT bios that fails or causes problems. According to what I have been told, Taiwan MSI takes the original working bios and then fixes the code from THAT version to include the patches from previous versions, to create a working bios. This process takes at least a month.

Maybe I have another opinion, if the bios that Alan J T sent us was the version with the virus, why would he still advise us to update to the latest official BIOS after updating the version he provided? As we all know, MSI motherboards do erase the old BIOS when updating the BIOS...
I never said he actually sent anyone a virus or hack or malware. I simply explained that the ONLY techs who are authorized to post and publish BIOS code is Taiwan MSI. I explained that the risk of accepting code from an NON-AUTHORIZED individual is not advisable. I shared the dangers of what could happen. As of tech of 30 years, I have seen just about everything bad that can happen from taking code from anyone other than the OEM directly. Finally, each time a bios is replaced with an overwrite, the entire code is wiped and nothing from a previous version remains. However, if someone writes a rootkit, the bios can be permanently altered... and at worse, the entire board can be bricked. There are some rootkits that can permanently add malware to a board and then the board is compromised. This is WHY the policy of MSI is for users to write a ticket in the system, identify the issue and bios and wait for MSI to publish the fix on the main MSI channel.

Thanks for you reply, but i don't live in the USA. But i opened a ticket in my native language (in local web site of MSI) and received a response: download beta BIOS (just the same as from Alan J T) and apply it (see the attach).
I think i will try this beta BIOS tomorrow (in local time).

Hi, I recently upgraded from 7D48vA9 to the current latest (stable) 7D48vAH on my Pro H610M-E DDR4 mobo. I have lost onboard audio completely. It does not appear in the device manager either, installing Realtek drivers from the mobo support page does nothing. Can someone point me to the latest mobo with the sound working?

Total Rubbish

Why when I deal with the HEAD OFFICE The USA is a Branch Office, not the Head Office like you seem to think typical American Attitude that you think that way.
