I updated my PRO B660M-A DDR4 bios from 7D43v1E to 7D43v1F through MSI control center, after that Realtek Audio is not detecting/showing in Windows 11 and Windows 10 dual boot OS. The Audio is enabled in Bios.

Hi Alan, can you provide a fresh link for the form? Whenever I click on the link it says that the form is not accepting responses.

Thanks
The form has been closed due to the problem re-occurring with the latest Bios released

MSI now will Require any non-functional Audio (Audio Missing from Device Manager ) on Motherboards to be RMA

First of all, I am NOT your bro. Despite you being a moderator, the rude and condescending in the manner in which you are addressing me is NOT that of a true IT professional. For anyone else reading this post, who may not have followed my previous posts... I am reiterating that I spoke by phone to three techs at MSI about the Realtek audio issues on the Pro B660m-A DDR4.. and then afterward, the USA customer service manager. He assured me he is the highest ranking exec for the USA team, shared both phone AND his direct email and said I can check back with him early September. I also find it strange, Alan, maybe even alarming, that no one knew who Alan JT is. I was told by four people at MSI, this was the first time they heard about my Realtek bios issue for this board. And when I said there was a forum thread with at least a hundred posts about the same issue, they were in disbelief until I encouraged them to log in. In summary; all MSI USA team members confirmed there is NO WORKING BIOS SOLUTION for the Realtek Audio problem. In my own testing, I confirmed that after version E, if one exists, it was NOT authored by MSI Taiwan. The manger explained that all bios coding is done at Taiwan HQ. Taiwan now has my snapshots., but I was told it may be weeks before Taiwan can reproduce the bios issue so they can code the fix. The USA manager gave me permission to stay in touch. Of course, I will alert the forum when the patch is published on the drivers page in the bios section. I also insist, Alan, that you do not abuse your privilege as moderator, which might include you blocking or editing my membership.. and if you do, I took snapshots of these conversations and will be back on the phone with the manager in California if that happens.

The way Alan replied got me concerned now. I'm gonnaa have to email MSI now to check if this bios is safe.

@ComputerRepairExper152f02d1 I have to say it's not Alan's fault that you have 20 bad boards sitting in the office :sneaky: while Alan tries to help as much as he can, feel free to get the MSI USA team to help you. But hey, you're the computer repair expert :ROFLMAO:
Anyway, MSI moderator has their own MSI contact and they constantly support us with patch BIOS and software.
Good luck with your finding from MSI USA team, hope you get some better news and can share with everyone.
Hows this a laughable topic? Go touch grass

The bios supplied are safe and all are supplied by MSI.

I still have the Files I tend to keep all of the ones they supply to us, so if you do want to try again to fix I will supply them upon request.

But please note that even if it is fixed now Audio may disappear again (Audio Missing from Device Manager ) on a bios update :cry::cry::cry:

So if you do lose the Audio (Audio Missing from Device Manager ) RMA is the best route to go.

I want to give it a try, I wouldn't have upgraded my bios if I hadn't had any issues in the first place. My mobo is Pro H610M-E DDR4
Bios supplied are safe but due to the bug reappearing in the latest Bios Updates for some users again, MSI has Recommended that they RMA the Motherboards.

Sometimes we Moderators and MSI do not agree on the solution given to us.

no new news
No nothing I have heard
Just that RMA is now recommended if Audio Fails

My Carbon X670E now has a failure to boot, Not sure why yet but won't find out till I pull the system apart and start testing the Hardware.
However, as Flashback refuses to work I suspect a component on the Board has failed

Will MSI release a BIOS update that includes CPU Microcode 0x129 and resolves the audio issue? If so, what is the expected release date? Many users, including myself, prioritize a BIOS that addresses these specific issues rather than frequent updates. If such an update is not planned, could you explain the reasons or barriers preventing MSI from providing it? My PC is an ITX build, making it challenging to remove and reinstall the motherboard. Additionally, I would face significant inconvenience if I had to send my PC for RMA, as it would leave me without a functioning system. If there is a flaw in the product, can MSI be more transparent about the issue and the steps being taken to resolve it in the future??

I'm an End user like you we do not get that much information

Try calling them and see if they will do a crossover RMA
