Hi everyone, I use an MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus motherboard with a Realtek ALC892 chip, but when I use the optical output, I hear crackling when I restart the PC, when I open YouTube with the Google Chrome browser, when I open an MP3 file, in short, the audio in general lags. I read that it is a power problem with the Realtek driver and there are strings to modify in the registry, do they help solve the problem? With the RCA connection, however, no problem. Alternatively, what do you recommend I do? Thanks a lot.

please mention the site/link or sites/links where you read about this as proof.

the "power problems" with certain realtek audio drivers only occurred with many of the 6.0.96xx.x (9600) something versions and were already fixed in driver versions in late 2024 (at least in the 9730s) without the need to edit the windows registry (meaning they were already corrected on Realtek's end)

try using a different spdif optical cable and/or different set of speakers that also connect with optical

there is this setting that needs to be changed in the registry: IdlePowerState, you need to change the number from 003 to 000, that's what I read, could you indicate a driver without this defect? Thanks a lot.
