Installed 10.048. Now the NIC only connects at 100 Mbit, never 2,5Gbit. So something is clearly not working
Interesting, I have the same issue. I've tried changing settings around in the driver and made sure 2.5gbps Full Duplex is enabled. Still only connects at 100mbit. I am using a Cat 6 cable connected to a gigabit switch.Installed 10.048. Now the NIC only connects at 100 Mbit, never 2,5Gbit. So something is clearly not working
Definitely a driver issue with 10.0.48. Even though I still have minimal drops with the 10.0.47, which is not acceptable. It runs at full duplex 2.5Gbit. I am using CAT7 connected directly to a Technicolor CGM43341 Gateway and have also tried it connected directly to my Asus RT-AX86U's 2.5Gbit port.Interesting, I have the same issue. edit: on the switch and on the mobo ethernet port the link light is green which should indicate a gigabit link yet windows reports 100mbps. Very strange.
edit 2: I booted into a Linux live CD. Link speed is 100mbps in there too. This is a hardware, not a driver, issue. Unless there is something that can be changed in BIOS this is most certainly a hardware defect.
the realtek web site have proved you wrong, Kha.Don't think so, testers got a totally different version, as far as I know it's not 10.048 anymore.
Well, can't always nail it...the realtek web site have proved you wrong, Kha.
10.048 version posted on THU 4/22
guess we'll wait for 10.049 to come out by either end of May or sometime in June perhaps
Perhaps, but it seems like they took a step backwards with the 10.0.48 in comparison to the 10.0.47.Well, can't always nail it...
You should try another cable. The realtek NIC on my z490 gaming plus is still only linking at 100/100 instead of at 1000/1000 in either windows or linux. I contacted MSI support. Their solution is to RMA the board. Not sure if that would actually help in this case since any replacement would have the same realtek NIC on it.
Did it was 1000/1000 before you update the driver to latest V.48?The realtek NIC on my z490 gaming plus is still only linking at 100/100 instead of at 1000/1000 in either windows or linux.
