Hi, my computer is rebooting automatically when I tell it to shutdown (hopefully this is the right forum/thread). This issue started after I set up my computer after I moved. I do not recall installing anything right before the move, although I had been fighting with my wireless card.
X58 ProE mobo
i7-930
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470
Win 7 64-bit
It appears to do a complete shutdown (fans power down, lights off), then suddenly reboots. I did notice today that the Suspend light stays on.
Things I have tried:
unplug/repluging/checking connections
update drivers and windows SP
shutdown from start->shutdown, from power button, from cmd line
selective startup with all programs disabled
browse through BIOS, nothing stood out
safe mode (still rebooted)
I noticed in the menu to get to safe mode that "Restart upon system failure" was an active option, so maybe something is failing during shutdown? But I don't know how to determine what.
Any help/ideas are appreciated, thanks!
