Receiving the error message that ROM Image Version is invalid.

MSI-1544 12-UGS

I have attempted to update my BIOS to the newest version E1544IMS.50E 2025.12.5. I am receiving the error message that ROM Image Version is invalid. This is the information displayed in the BIOS readme file:

I was able to find the correct Vector GP66 MSI website after some fumbling around. The correct version of my Vector GP66 was more difficult to find than it should have been. Coupled with the incorrect information in the BIOS readme file (the incorrect BIOS update read me file listed my version of of the Vector GP66 as SUPPORTED:

I am very grateful that the BIOS update utility was able to determine that I was attempting to use an incorrect bios update file. I feel disappointed that MSI does not have a more simplified way to find specific variants of hardware models. I am appalled that a read me file for a BIOS update would include an unsupported model.

Why would an unsupported model be included in a BIOS update read me file?
