Red light CPU on MSI Tomahawk Wifi

First time ever building a desktop, the desktop seems to turn on fine with the RGB lights of the RAM showing and the GPU also showing lights. All fans running. But when I've connected a HDMI cable to the GPU and motherboard I can't get any display on the monitor.

Using I9-14900K. I've tried reseating the CPU and reattaching to the mount bracket that comes with the air cooler several times, but keeps showing this Red Light for the CPU. I've tried updating the BIOS to the latest version using the Flash BIOS USB port. Both CPU cables are plugged into the motherboard.

Any help or troubleshooting advice would be much appreciated!

I appear to have gotten here first, so I'll ask you before anyone else does. Can you please list all your hardware component details so they can be looked up on the Internet if need be.
Please include:
Motherboard (Z690 or Z790)?
Power Supply (PSU) model
RAM Kit (name, GB size and full model number)
GPU
Display Unit and what type of cable interface (e.g. HDMI, DisplayPort)
Storage drives
Any internal devices (e.g. Sound cards, network cards, multimedia storage devices, etc.)

A red CPU light could be due to bent socket pins. Have you closely inspected for bent pins? Do you know what to look for?
A red CPU light can be caused by incorrect tension on the CPU cooler, or maybe even a non-functioning cooler. We'll assume for the moment that you have already tried to rule that out.
A red CPU light might be DRAM slot related. You could try moving memory sticks between slots, removing all but 1 Dimm (check manual for correct slot for 1 Dimm) and check that memory is correctly inserted with the two outside levers clicked in and fully vertical.
A red CPU light could be Power Supply related (check all connections are tight at both ends). We'll check to make sure it's a quality unit once we have the model details.
A red CPU light could be caused by a short somewhere, even with storage drives/cables. The suggestion is to remove all hardware that is non-essential to see if you can get into BIOS...or at least turn the red light into another light on the EZ LED tree.
A red CPU light could be the CPU itself. Troubleshooting would require another CPU to test.
And finally, a red CPU light could be the motherboard. Usually a motherboard is considered for RMA by trying to rule out all the other possible causes.

Others will jump in here, but I thought the list above would give you some ideas to try.
