New sytem (have been using for 3 weeks)
MSI x870p pro wifi
Amd 7800x3d
4xKingston 32GB 6000mhz
Gigabyte RTX 5090
Ubuntu 24.04.02

nvidia drivers installed and was working all good

If that caused the problem, not sure but maybe related; I wanted to turn off the rgb lights of the mobo so I installed msi-rgb as ai chats' sugggestion;
and ran commands like
sudo ./target/release/msi-rgb -x
sudo ./target/release/msi-rgb 0 0 0
sudo ./target/release/msi-rgb 0 0 0 --ignore-check

no idea if that's related or not, maybe it changed things in bios..

tried;
- reseting cmos,
- flashing bios twice with latest version
- using only A2 socket with only 1 RAM - tried another ram for same slot, then only for first and only for last slot

screens attached showing same area but in red and blue thanks to the rainbow lights that works even nothing else working :)

Thanks for your reply. Yes motherboardd is PRO X870-P WIFI.
I think I tried that option on first days and didn't work, but I will try again if can reach to bios again.
I don't have access to bios, cpu has red light and dram has orange.
The msi-rgb software is https://github.com/nagisa/msi-rgb which was suggested by AI chats. I noticed now it's not maintained any more.

It has finally started with one RAM on A2 slot after a CMOS reset (shortcut) using a screwdriver for 10-15 secs, then using the button at rear on mobo,

Also tried another RAM for that slot and waited a short time, lights off, one of them was green and then off

I will install the other RAMs, hopefully everything is back working again now.

while fixing, I had also unplugged the hdmi cable not sure if it affected the fix..

And the AI chat says msi-rgb doesn't change bios but I removed it anyway, so I wonder how this happened

Using the button at rear on mobo looks good enough for CMOS reset, pc needs to be unplugged from power and maybe no need to remove all the RAMs waiting would be enough
