Has anyone here tried running tight vnc or any other remote software on xp 64. It seems like some sort of security is running making it not work. My 2000 partition works perfectly but in xp 64 tightvnc will connect but doesn't autorefresh so using it is impossible. I also tried "remote administrator" and it gives me a msg saying "Connection I/O error, connection might be closed due to IP filtering settings on the remote side"
I know this is unrelated to the mobo but I haven't found any other place where people are experimenting with xp 64

lol why would you use VNC on windows?

XP Pro (and 64) includes a 1 session (or 2 session in SP2) Terminal Server, the TS client (mstsc), and WebTS (an activeX control version of mstsc) that runs on IIS 5.1 or 6.0.

Terminal Server is by far the best remote-access system for Windows.

yeah i figured that out. I was under the impression that only server operating systems had terminal services

I use VNC instead of remote cause i use the remote system for a TV pc and if i use remote the screen is loged off so all you see on the tv is a logon screen not the movie etc you want to watch.
