Hi!

My AC-adapter seems broken. Still have warranty. But if I send the adapter for a warranty check/fix I cannot use my computer for a few days or weeks.
Where can I buy a good replacement charger?

Been looking for an original MSI-adapter but no success. Also, if the store agrees that the adapter seems faulty, do they really need to wait for the technical evaluation before I am given a new one?

(the charger in question came with a MSI Prestige 14 A10SC notebook).

Best regards,
Jonas

For the 3rd party AC adapter, it easily happens performance issues.
I suggest you contact the MSI repair center to get the pre-install AC adapter.

Hi!
Probably already irrelevant, but I bought myself a 120W GaN Charger, it has 2 type-c and 1 usb, each type-c can produce a maximum of 90 W (maximum from three connectors you can get 120 W), but when I connect the 2nd device I have throttling appears.

Each type-c can produce a maximum of 90W >> doesn't that mean when you connect the 2nd device, power will be shared by two devices, causing that there's no enough power for the laptop..?

the maximum declared power of the adapter is 120 W. The maximum that usb-a can produce is 30 W when I connect the charger to type-c and another device to usb-a, then in total it becomes noticeably less than 120 W

If there's no problem when you only connect one device (e.g. the laptop), it has more to do with the charging mechanism of that charger then.. not sure how it actually works.
Otherwise it should provide 90w like what you mentioned (since only one usb-c is occupied).

There are no problems, when I charge one laptop it gives out its honest 90 W (87 W, to be precise), I just warned that my copy should give 120 W, but in fact it gives a maximum of 90 W.
