Request: MSI 1722 Notebook 4.29 EC Mod

What notebook you have?
How you known that webcam is not working?
 
Hi,

I have the barebone version of the GX720, the 1722 http://www.msicomputer.com/NB/product_spec.asp?model=MS-1722-ID1.

The barebone version does not have the touch sensors above the keyboard so there is a different EC firmware available for it.

This is a thread on http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=362808 about the webcam not working. When using the GX720 EC (modified or normal) firmware, the webcam is not detected and the webcam toggle switch doesn't work. Using the Generic MSI1722 firmware, the webcam works fine, but the FN and ctrl buttons aren't switched.

Yes this EC firmware works, but the FN and Crtl keys are in the original position.

I need something to swap fn/ctrl for x64 system I cant use this cause of 16 bits of this application. THX very much

What notebook you have exactly? Is it barabone? In this topic its for barabone only! Do NOT use it for retail MSI model.

The swap is not OS related, the flash application need to be executed from pure DOS to perform EC update.
