Hello everyone,

I'm putting up a request for a firmware mod that would swap the Fn and Ctrl keys for the MSI GT627.  I tried using the firmware mod for the 1722, and while it did indeed swap the keys, it messed up the touch sensor bar.

Thank you very much in advance!

You shall not do this cross flashing :nono: That's for very different notebook Gx72x Series.
That easy can kill or damage your notebook..

it messed up the touch sensor bar

Because its for barabone version of MS-1722 too..
You have total different notebook ==> MS-1651...
Read more carefully what you are flashing

Use this one for GX620 instead, which also can be used for GT627 and GX623: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=123316.msg930955#msg930955

Thank you for the information Svet.  The only reason why I did try to use the firmware for the MS-1722 was someone on another discussion board claimed it would work for the GT627.  Clearly, he was mistaken (even though it was an accident).  Luckily, I didn't brick my laptop.

That said, are you absolutely positive that this firmware will work with the MSI GT627 (assuming I properly follow the flashing procedure)?  I just want to make sure - I hope you understand.

Thank you for your help!

Yep, go ahead :) Follow my link above.

Hello I was wondering that if I put the gx 620 bios on my computor if it would change anything else that i might be aware of Thanks ahead of time

What is your computer? Do you have a GT627?  If the answer is yes, then you certainly do not want to use a GX620-BIOS on your GT627 (it will most properyl render your system useless).  Also, this is not really the proper thread to talk about things like that.  If you have more questions that do not have anything to do with this topic, please start your own thread.
