Hi all,

I tried using tvtool to use the entire area of my TV. (from having a black border to full screen)

Now someone posted that u can use riva tuner for this as well, but I haven't figured out how to do it.

Can anybody please help me with this.
Also, tvtool stops after 15 mins. any-body got a solution for this 'problem'

Thanks in advance,

Martin

In Riva, if you go to driver settings / customize system settings / then overlay tab, you can adjust how a movie is shown on screen.
I don't know if this is what your after, and as for the other problem, maybe its a thing with the demo version if this is what you have.

Hi crAzy_caMel

Thanks for posting.

No, that's not it unfortunately. I think I will buy tvtool as it is a great tool to use.

Love,

Martin

Hi There!

Yes, the TVtool tool is switching back to VGA after 10mins or so if you use a demo. However, it?s really worth buying - I?m using it on my GF4 Ti4600 with superb results. :p

I am trying to understand the advantage of using a TV connected to your TI4600 vs just installing a TV Tuner card such as the Hauppauge WIN TV which also comes with AM/FM Radio. Can someone give some advantages or disadvantages? Thanks.

Sorry guys (or gals), but this thread was tvtool related...
PLS start a new thread.

Nvidia Just released version 40 (4.0) of Detonator XP. It also allows you to select 'full screen'.

It isn't as good as TVtool, but it is a step in the right direction!

Love you all!

About the full screen... it seems that Philips TV controler (which happens that I have on my video card) has no problem outputting the image correctly @ 800x600. Conexant's output display on the other hand has a black frame.

I tried the new 40.41 drivers and all I can see is a black screen instead of the movie. All other programs are displayed correctly though. So, stick with TVTool.

Bluesky,
Try nview enabled. Then select secondairy device and select 'device settings'.

Movies should run fine now.

Hi there!

I set the 40.41 driver as I set all the other nVidia drivers.

You are lucky if you can see the movies also. Here is what I did: 30.82 drivers... movies OK; update to 40.41, set nView to clone, secondary device to PAL etc (as usual)... all works fine except the movies (any kind, with any player). Roll back drivers to 30.82, the same problem (even though before it worked). Weird. So I had to use a Restore point.
Anyway, I decided that I like 30.82 better.

All the best.

Bluesky,

There is an INF update for the detonator drivers if you want special resolutions in XP (768x576 etc...) so the display will be perfect fitted for the TV.

nVidia driver with special resolutions 768x576 and 720x480
This is the single modified file nv4_disp.inf for the Detoantor driver 30.82.

(Just copy the file into the folder where you have extracted the driver files. Then run the setup.exe located in this directory. More detailed description comes shorlty.)

Do you know how to change these resolutions? (without installing the detonator patch)

In a perfect world...

Love,

Martin

try to put your resolution of your pc on 800*600 that's big i know but if you test your tv-out it will work in full screen :D
