RTC wakeup BIOS not working

Hi,
I always used RTC scheduled wakeup with no issues so far, a few days ago I upgrade to BIOS version B86vMI (2023-05-08) my B450-A PRO MAX and system is waking up no more. I reset default as usual and then programmed the BIOS event at 8:00 o'clock. Time is synced and I have the usual settings I had with previous 7B86vMF that worked good, I suspect new BIOS is buggy or I have some setting that prevent the wakeup scheduled event from running. I remember that a full day had to pass for wakeup event to work with previous version, for example if I set wakeup event 5 minutes ahead and then turn off the system it fails but after 24h event was triggered succesfully.

Any advice apart rolling back the BIOS to an older one? It's very frustrating because the mainboard is fantastic and with great support.

As a workaround, you could put the computer to sleep and let Windows task scheduler wake it up.
It's a good tip but I'd be tricky because I have linux installed without a GUI, lets add I'd prefer a completely powered off system to not waste power

Hi Alan, I've just checked and ERP was actually enabled. I switched it off, from my understanding is a minimum power state that keeps bios alive to manage PME events and so on, it's probably the reason why no event was triggered. I'll report tomorrow if it's fixed because for some reason it usually takes 24h to apply

YA if enabled it can prevent Wake functions from activating correctly as it turns off as much as possible in low-power 5v standby mode

Cheers Our Contact mentioned that it might cause a problem sometimes if enabled.
