Hi all,
I’m having an issue with my MSI RTX 3080 Suprim X 10GB and could really use some advice.
System specs:
GPU: MSI RTX 3080 Suprim X 10GB
PSU: Corsair 1000e (previously tested with Corsair 850e, same issue)
Whenever the GPU is under heavy load (benchmarks or gaming), my screen suddenly goes black and the GPU fans ramp to 100%. The only way to recover is to power the PC off completely and restart.
Things I’ve tried:
Switched from Corsair 850e PSU to 1000e (same result).
Has anyone else run into this with the Suprim X? Could this be a faulty card or maybe a VBIOS/power delivery issue? Any fixes or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

- CPU / Board / RAM: i9 13900KF / DDR 5 32GB
- OS: Windows 10

- GPU is powered by 3 separate 8-pin PCIe cables.
- Drivers and BIOS are up to date.
- Tested lowering power limit in MSI Afterburner → if I set power to ~30%, the card doesn’t crash, but obviously performance is unusable
