RTX 4090 Suprim X high hot spot temp

Hello everyone!
I have just bought refurbished RTX 4090 Suprim with air cooling. During furmark tests my hotspot temp seems pretty high. It also kinda looks like that my card is cutting on power, because I have 70% gpu usage in furmark most of the time.
I repasted core with Arctic mx-6 thermal paste, I also tried ptm 7950, but I guess I ordered fake one from Aliexpress, so I'll look into buying original ones.
For now I'm running this card with 85% power limit - it loses only 3% of performance and is so much colder (this furmark test was taken with 100% power limit)
Any ideas if this is normal or I should RMA? In all other tests it performs great! My idle temps are also great, after switching furmark off it takes one second for temps to drop drastically.

Edit: I had a lot of success with repasting my previous card with thermal putty - maybe those pads are too thick and I should try thermal putty, so it has better contact?

Do you changed the thermal paste only or thermal pads too?

P.S: Moved topic to correct area.

Yes, something is not right.
See the correct info at RTX 4090 SUPRIM 24G Thermal Pads

I guess they have just used too firm pads on memory...

Furmark is not memory intensive.
So check the VRM pads and the GPU core cooling paste (or pad if you use PTM)
Note that too high pads near GPU core area can lift the heatsink, (usually by memory pads near core)
and this will prevent the perfect contact and pressure of the heatsink and GPU core chip,
which can also explain the ~30C difference between GPU core temp and HotSpot temp.

Sorry for writing post in wrong area.

Hey! I have changed my pads and used PTM 7950. Now I hit max 94/95C temp hotspot in furmark on full load and 65 gpu temp. Hopefully it will drop further to ~90C hotspot after few weeks with ptm.

What thermal pads did you used and over which areas?
Also what is the FAN speed when hotpost is 95C? And is it set to Auto?
And which vBIOS you use? Silent or Gaming one?

Hey @Svet!
Sorry for my late reply. I'm using Gaming one and my fans speed is 100% with my custom curve.
Actually those temp spikes only happen in furmark. I have tried different benchmark tests (time spy, wukong etc) and my hotspot temp was pretty good.
