I have a similar issue with my 6800xt. Except I only get black screen/no signal loss. Never seen picture. Tried different monitors. MSI Gaming Edge mobo w/ latest bios firmware. 5600x, 750 EVGA psu. No EZ debug leds. Fans and LED on GPU work. I've cleaned previous drivers with DDU. Checked all connections. Old GPU (GTX 1660) works fine. RMA i guess.....

i just upgraded my PSU and more problems seems gone. How often did the black screen happen to you?

I don't get any signal at all. Black screen, no bios/windows, just black. Is 750 really not enough? MSI support said at least 700watts, and to try and isolate the issue by trying different GPU in my rig. (Old GPU works fine). And to try the 6800 in a different rig, which I don't have.

Reporting back here... Been running a few hours now after I sent the card back to my retailer for them to check it out for possible refund (or exchange, but given stock is basically null, it was going to be a refund if they can't figure this out) and getting it back after told me this is a driver issue.

Funny enough, they were referencing this forum to me... so here I am. From my last post last Friday and this thread exploding to 9 pages from 1 page.

They did testing and they told me to install the 20.11.2 (November 13 2020) drivers and it should go away. Seems to be right so far and haven't had the issue, yet. The 20.11.2 drivers are also the WHQL certified drivers (certified by MSFT and validated by their Windows team) so they said it should be the most stable drivers until a newer WHQL certified driver comes out.

My 750W PSU is in A tier and I still get black screens before.

Yes. Is 10 bits very demanding?
In terms of the number of produced colors yes it produces much more .. in terms of stress .. hmm i doubt.
Now my RTX3070 is running 10bit without a fuss (which is less powerful with half the DDR6) ... besides my RX6800XT kept crashing when i changed to 8bit so i ruled it out.
Also in my case i doubt it is the PSU since again the other GPU is running fine and also RX6800XT did not crash during games or benchmarks when the whole system is under huge stress and demand for power.
I wish you good luck in successfully operating your card with the new PSU. Keep us updated please.
