S/N of processor for steam gift card

I have tried to redeem the steam gift card for the motherboard and processor purchase but rejected many times for unable to provide photo of 'S/N on the processor itself'.
The thing is the processor is already assembled onto motherboard with liquid cooler on top of it. I am not confident removing and installing the liquid cooler just to take a photo of the processor. I provided a photo of the S/N on the box and a screenshot of 'System Info' showing the model of the processor, but still rejected.
I am just puzzled is there anyone else with the same situation as me?

We can't do anything to help with this. We have nothing to to do with the prizes or rewards or any of that. You'll need to contact MSI directly : >>How to contact MSI.<<

Yea I have the same problem. Its hilarious!!!!! Very obvious hack/excuse to deter people from claiming their gift card and save the corporation money. Feeling a bit let down to be joining team msi with a stunt like this as a welcome. Glad I have extra thermal paste I guess....

Watch a few videos or get the mate who helped you to put your pc together to give you a hand. The voucher is worth the 5 minutes of work and few dots of thermal paste. Just make sure you aren't static and you clean your cpu properly before re-applying the correct amount of paste. Its really not that hard as long as you are careful. You will get more confident the more you muck around with your pc.

I have checked with the co that helped me to build my PC. He said nobody has such an issue before. Not sure why the MSi team is so inflexible. I really cannot understand what is the difference between s/n on the cut out of the and s/n on the processor itself. I mean who will buy any processor with the s/n cut off already??
Okay I shall stop ranting and forgo this redemption.

Had the same problem. I wasn't confident removing the wraith cooler from the cpu but had already unhinged them from the socket. It's hard to hinge back to the cpu socket without removing which I tried and bent some cpu pins - this itself can void the cpu warranty. Had to take to a pc store to fix the bent pins. Beware!!! MSI would only honour the steam card gift with a photo of the CPU with S/N.

I would imagine if it was your businesses that you may be a bit ridgid, also. They have millions of customers, some of whom, may not be as honest as you!! Be patient. I have done many promotions with many companies over the years and it has always been worth dotting the I's and crossing the T"s in the end.

Try to contact MSI support services for rewards program issues. When you register your MSI products, there will be 2 S/N numbers on both product and product package as well. You have to take the photo of these 2 S/N numbers and provide to MSI registration sessions. As well as you may have to show you invoices also for to verify products registration.

oh no,
I submitted a claim for back to school offer. I had no idea I would need to take photos!
I have the motherboard box, but threw out all other boxes, once it was all working!

Really hope I don't have to remove the cooler, clean the CPU and take a photo of it. As long as you have the invoice it should be sufficient in my opinion.

Was all I submitted was Photos of the serial numbers and and copies of the Invoice as well as Registering the Motherboard via Dragon center before I did the redeem. Also Registered with AMD at same time for Assassin Creed Valhalla received my $60 US steam codes via six $10 dollar coupons I believe
So you do get them if you get the registration done correctly
