Screen going solid color and locking up while gaming

I sent my system back to MSI for repair because my system stopped turning on back in December. It was just a matter of cleaning the RAM sticks, but when I got it back, I started getting another, more annoying issue. At first, I thought it was just cyberpunk because that's the game I was playing when it happened, but then it happened in Horizon Zero Dawn. Now, the problem stopped a few frustrating weeks later when I downloaded the afterburner and overclocked my memory core. So when it started happening again, I figured it was a ram issue, so I replaced my ram to two 3200mghz 1x16 sticks, but it's still happening.
What's happening is when I'm in the game and just running around playing, the game would run perfectly, no frame drops or anything. But when I open up any kind of menu like an inventory screen, or more recently when I go into a cutscene with Outriders, both my monitors will turn to a solid color, seemingly random solid colors, and lock up, forcing me to hard restart my system.

I've heard say this is a sign my gpu is out the door, which I didn't think would be the case because it's a 1660ti and my system is only about a year old. Is there anyone else with a 1660 who has had this problem?

Then you have no issue with an MSI retail graphics card and I'll move the thread.

Is the pc in factory configuration or did you replace/upgrade parts?

The only part I've replaced is the 1x16 RAM stick with 2 1x16 sticks and added a 4tb HDD. Graphics card is factory.

Retry with the original 16GB stick. Might be that this kit is not supported.

It was happening with the original 16gb stick. I thought the original 16 gb stick was the problem, that's why I replaced it. Like I said, this isn't a recent issue. This has been a recurring issue I've been having for about four months, I only replaced my RAM with two new sticks yesterday. It's not happening with games that take lower specs, but with higher end games, it happens all the time and lowering the graphic settings doesn't help. Sometimes I just crash to desk top, others I get an error saying I ran out of video error, but the solid color screen lock up is by far the most common.
