Under the MSI Tabs in the display properties it says SBA is checked but it will not allow me to disable. How Do you Disable it. See sig for set up

most MB-s have that option in bios setings somewhere near FastWrites so go to bios and search for it.

the MSI Tabs in the display properties you can't change it is yust to see what setings are on(off).

why would you disable SBA???? ?(

Geforce Tweek Utility or RivaTuner I think can switch sideband and fastwrites. Guru3d has these.
You need det drivers 19.60 or below for most options to work though

I could not change the check boxes as well with my MSI Ti4600. I then updated my drivers to MSI's latest Nvidia driver 30.00. I can now change the check boxes for SBA & fastwrites if I want to. Give it a try. :p

I have MSI 30.00 drivers, but I still can't change sideband checkbox state.

And I have no fastwrite checkbox!!!!!

On what OS you can change the checkboxes
I have XP and i can't change them.
i do all setings from rivatuner and GTU

GeForce Tweak or Riva Tuner can't change SBA setting. I tried it ?(
Or maybe this SBA doesn't work with G4MX series...?

Some det drivers can have a different reg key for sideband to be enabled so Riva and GFT won't work good, and the driver can revert SBA to disable.
29.42 det is still the best to use for tweaking options.
You could try Powerstrip for these options but this is shareware and still may not work if you have det 29.60 or above.
As far as I know the MX do support SBA and Fastwrites.
SBA can be highly unstable so Fastwrites is my choice.

Hi All,

I tried it. G4MX460VTP (maybe all MX series ) doesn't support SBA. I tried with RivaTuner, GeForceTweak didn't work!

So, I am very very courius. I got NVidia BIOS editor from Ray Adams ( www.guru3d.com ) try to modified it. And I wonder SBA setting has been always enable in default bios. Tried modified this setting to disable and flash it, didn't work. So, change to enable again and flash again, doesn't work too ! And last word G4MX4xx series doesn't support SBA !

But (thanks to NVidia Bios Editor :p ) I can enable VGA SignOn, memory size message screen when boot up. And put my name in VGA SignOn message screen :D :D



Note: Don't try NVidia BIOS editor if you don't know what your doing. Your own your risk ! Make backup VGA bios before you do it and find VGA PCI if you fail flash it and try to flash it again with default bios!!!
