Good morning
So I have recently purchased an GF65 9SEXR, and  promptly had the motherboard fail, was replaced by my warrantable dealer. Since returning I have lost the ability to set the amount of charge level into my battery when plugged in 60,80 or 100 %. Have talked with support desk installed 5 different versions of dragon center, with now results. Updated Bios to 16W1EMS1.103 and nothing has changed. Also in the bios and in dragon center and  windows my computer is named as "please change product name". Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

regards

thanks for the reply, installed firmware 2 days back no change, no new switches in software, just installed dragon center, nothing changed that i can see, this really frustating. My biggest concern is if it could be the new motherboard ? Is this function software or hardware driven ?
thanks

For the normal MSI laptop, product name does not appear "please change product name".
I think this may be one of the reasons.
You can contact MSI local service center to update the motherboard product name to the correct name.

So my service center has finally found a flash tool (registry edit) to insert product name back into the system, suddenly on reboot I have 3 more tabs in the dragon center app. Life is good, strange that this id was required, even more strange, the service center required me to go up the management chain to get this resolved. But I'm to have it resolved without losing my lappy for 3 weeks to a month. Thanks for everybody's thoughts, muchly appreciated.
