SOLUTION| How to fix ALL problems with MSI GF63 Thin 9RCX/9RC/9SC/8RC/10SX (Lag & stutter & power limit) CUSTOM EC

hello mr Zeph.

i have a GF63 Thin 10SCSR-207XTR model and have Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160 MHz wi-fi card
also my pc dont have killer-internet extention.
i tried did your steps but my computer have another bios screen and your downloadable content not worked at my gf63 thin 10scsr computer.any news or updates?
@Zeph
this modded FW not repair WIFI ,,only bypass POWER LIMIT --only kill your NB

use web ticket ,,MSI direct support -need better EC or drivers
last post -WIFI guide

* intel wifi driver and bt driver re-installed and my ping going crazy in battlefield 1 and 4. i see 2500pings. imposible to play
Only occurs while gaming?
If in this case, it may be a hardware related problem, contact MSI service center for further check.

Bro, about that 25W limit. My laptop won't sustain even 25W. Sometimes it goes down to high 18-20 Watt during gaming(e.g. apex legends). And when i did imon slope trick, clock speed is still not stable, sometimes it shows base clock i.e 2.4ghz then suddenly 4ghz or 3.6ghz. i don't think imon slope is working properly on my system while gaming. Although in cinebench r20, it is sustaining 4ghz and 90C temp cap after undervolting -0.130v and scores jumped from 1700 to 2018 in multicore test and 406 to 450 on single core. I really want my laptop's power limit to normal like other laptops or atleast sustain 25w but it is rather depressing. I am really scared to flash your EC firmware as its my first laptop. I can't believe i bought this piece of crap.
P.S.
Is there any way i could contact msi directly for this issue. I know i could mail them and all but ik their normal support is crap and they don't know what they are speaking of. I want to talk to a person in msi who really knows stuff.

I was just looking into bios and found this EC Turbo control mode. Can you explain what does it do. It was disabled by default but when i enabled, it showed a setting AC brick capacity and max cap is 90W. I wonder why ? MSI provided us 120W brick.

Hello everyone,
When I bought the MSI GF63 laptop I have experienced many issues with it including stuttering in games like (GTA V/Just cause 3 & 4 / Youtube Vids and much more..) so today I'm going to show you how to fix ALL of the issues that you are going to experience when buying this laptop, I tried everything from replacing HDD to getting an SSD still the same issue, but today I found the ultimate fix for it.

DISCLAIMER: I'M NOT ASSOCIATED WITH MSI BY ANY WAY, ALL OF THE FILES PROVIDED HERE ARE CUSTOMIZED AND TESTED BY ME SO DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK; MODDING THE EC CAN BE RISKY IF YOU SCREW UP UR EC CHIP IS BRICKED WITH NO EASY WAY TO RESTORE. This firmware is tested by me and have WORKED for me on my (Tested on : MSI GF63 9RCX). SO AGAIN DONT COME HERE BLAMING ME IF UR LAPTOP IS BRICKED.

-How to fix LAG/Stutter:
This is caused by memory, the memory sticks that get put in these MSI laptops when bought stock are not ideal for gaming so the only solution to fix this is to either enable XMP which I'm not sure if you can do on the GF63 series laptops or increase the System Agent clock speed to 1GHZ (FCLK frequency)

STEP 1 | Go to your bios :

You can do this by simply shutting down your laptop then powering it on and spam the DELETE key and the bios UI should pop on.
STEP 2 | Unlock hidden options:
When you are in the BIOS menu go to the "Advanced" tab then click this keyboard combination (LCRTL + LSHIFT + ALT + F2).
After doing this you should see options that look like this :
View attachment 140243Q
STEP 3 | Overclocking the FCLK Frequency (Aka System Agent clock speed):
In the advanced TAB go to the "CPU Information" option:
View attachment 140245
Then scroll down and find "FCLK Frequency for Early Power On":
View attachment 140246
Click on it then select "1GHZ" the default value for MSI laptops is 800Mhz which is not ideal.
Then go back to the "Save & Exit" tab and select save changes and reset, don't freak out your laptop will bootloop 1 or 2 times because it's training the components (memory etc).
IF your laptop doesn't power on then here's what you do (This is very unlikely):
- Disconnect the AC adapter
- Hold the power button for 30s
- Connect the AC Adapter
- Done you should be able to boot up again after CMOS reset.
STEP 4 | Voila!/Congrats
- Your lag should be fixed and you are ready to go my friend! I suggest not go any further now if you don't want to take the risk.
- If this didn't work for you then it's most likely a ram issue try running Windows Memory Diagnostics tools and check for errors (Tutorial)

-Get more performance out of your laptop :
DISCLAIMER: I'm not responsible for any damages that could happen while you are flashing this firmware, it has been tested on the MSI GF63 Thin 9RCX/10SX. If you brick your laptop it's your fault and only yours.

This is a custom firmware I modified for MSI GF63 Thin series which will raise UP the the power limit from 25W to 45w which is the normal TDP for the 8750H/9750H, This should def give you more performance in games. (25% Increase) my temps were about 94-96 but this is in a very hot environment because it's summer out here. I suggest you always run this with cooler boost.

Please let me know how it goes down in the comments
Thanks
Zeph
1GHZ (FCLK frequency)
Up to 3-5% free performance - placebo ?

this setting not works ,,and no need unlock or use bypass - IMON + any CPU lock "iccmax or cpu ratio" under 90C load
25w defaults up PL2 -35w for this NB
and all get overheat for 25w or lower --not possible unlock or need HWmod "better cooling"

FCLK -system agent ,,boost or not ??? ,,but GAMING or heavy user using 1ghz "memory controler ,,pcie ,,and lot next is affected" theoretically
800- defaults for BCLK -OC ,,why is defaults for this NB "power save setup" or bug ?? ,,,must test best setting for your system "basic -only stability is affected 800/1ghz + small chance to BOOST performance" ;)

,,for any problem from this NB create HWINFO LOG + FPS -- compare FPS drop VS LOG
lot this NB -- igpu overheat ,,gpu overheat
cpu power limit ?? problem only for heavy load "more cores" not gaming "check hwinfo" 3ghz or similar OK for gaming
,,,better stable FREQ + no-limit --but hard set this NB better

As i already said 90C cap is when i used imon slope trick. At 25W lock, temps are around 71-75 for cpu and (69-71 for gpu(with or without imon slope)). I think atleast 35W should be a standard for this laptop. I also checked pch temps. and it was around 69-70 at load when imon slope is activated and same at 25W so i don't think temps are the issue here.

As i already said 90C cap is when i used imon slope trick and 90 was only reaching when i benchmarked in cinebench r20, in gaming it was 78-85C . imon -fake power read ,,,when set all good --get 10w "no power limit reason" for full load "but real 75w"
impossible for this NB ,,,get overheat on 25w OEM ,,,not unlock this NB
lower config 8cores -100w for 1.25-1.3V /112A ,,LQ metal + lot heat pipes + big NB
your NB need more for normal function "12 cores" -example

using ONE fan + gpu/cpu heatpipe -- one get heat ,,second too
[***CENSORED***] NB

25w PL1 ,,35w PL2 + 36w "HWINFO sensor NVVD" gtx1050 "x2" 75w gpu -example for 120w PSU
+ system 25w --full NB load

best use HWINFO -check cpu reason limit \ others problems
35w CPU still impossible longer using ,,i tested before ZEPH NB + using cooling pad --still get overheat
cinema bench- 9750h -500 points only for 25w CPU run on 1.5ghz or lower
for imon -around 900
but temperatures is problem ,,tets real bench cpu/gpu --all time overheat

MSI config 25W + 75W gpu --maximum for this NOTEBOOKS
find real problem ,,need FIX fps drops ??? ,,,,cpu is OK ,.but not ideal

94C cpu first limit
90-94C same gtx1050
and my recommended ,.,.,.battery master to 100./. recharge + minimal battery wear level

all is on previous page ,,,must testing ;) test update IGPU drivers / nvidia DCH -this must works perfectly for normal performance
other HWINFO

edit
test unlock IMON + set 50-75A iccmax"or 200-300VR" ONLY --this works similar like power limit "but user adjustable"
set best numbers for your works + any temperatures alarm
or accurate under benchmark - 90C max

maybe for gtx 1050 model but the one i have is 1650 max-q and its 35W cap so limited power is not a problem for me at all. What msi needs to do is to atleast unlock tdp for max-q versions. I don't have any gpu power throttling or thermal throttling. Its only cpu for me. Yes, i understand that this laptop is not meant for handling a 75W gpu + 45W cpu but it could atleast handle a 35W cpu +35W gpu. If not then its a worst laptop in the history. Period ! And after all the tests i done i can confidently say that it can handle 45W cpu + 45Wgpu with no issues at all. Short turbo boost (i.e 78W or any value above 45W is unnecessary for this NB). This laptop was never meant for a non-max q gpu paired with an H series cpu. MSI [***CENSORED***] up with their early models and they don't want to fix this in max-q models.

gpu x2 NVVD numbers or non MXM card ,,70-75w gpu 1650 "temperatures limit ?" gpu-z or must works NVSMI "standard driver type contins this service " for DCH think must be installed ??
C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI

cmd
nvidia-smi -q
.....drivers limits or GPU-Z and info tab or advanced

and still temperatures - biggest problem ,,,this cooling is bad "not for performance"

edit ,,send vbios name or gpu-z screen
1650q - realy 35w ONLY  I would have to look vbios or in system

Hey, its urgent. Can you please compare this EC with yours and tell if you this one is yours too or not ?

Thank you very much for providing custom firmware my friend. I installed it on my 9RCX (1050ti) Notebook and it unlocked my tdp levels and I can run my cpu at max power, BUT I would like to know one thing that my i5 9300H has 4.1GHZ max freq. but mine is capped to 3.99 GHZ. is it oky ? or I need to do something? it happned after firmware update, before it was reaching 4.1 for short time, I have no problem with it, but I would like to know just for curiosity ❤❤ and again I am very thnakfull to you for providing such great CUSTOM firmware.

try gpu+cpu load - all time on 100C "one fan notebook"
.,and this FW is not possitible flash back ,.,.what I remember !!!

testing
hwinfo+ sensor "in gaming" or msi kombustor

,,. for all
use IMON guide- absolute same method "but possible use RESET"
30s power button when nb run - full bios reset
