thanks, unfortunately clicking update oled i only get "send command fail"

I am afraid you have to RMA the board ... if that software cannot "talk" to the OLED chip, it means the chip failed.

That is a sign the software is not able to "speak" to the Dynamic Dashboard II controller chip ... not a good sign.
Anyway check PM in a few minutes; try the procedure and let us know the result.

Sorry to necro an old post, but looks like others are still running into the same issue! My Z490 Godlike OLED firmware is listing 0D, but after attempting the update, blank and nonfunctional, firmware still listed as 0D - any chance I can get the tool to reflash it? Thanks in advance!

I am sorry this thread is about the "animeted screen" only.
I suggest you open your dedicated thread and try to be more precise in your description; what kind of lights? Do you mean RGB led or .. ?

If you can see the temperature on Dynamic Dashboard II the firmware is working fine ... I guess you cannot change it to show something different than the temperature ... this seesm to be MSI Center/Mystic Light related.

Alright my apologies. The issue I’m having is the MSi dragon light up thing on the top left of the motherboard is frozen in purple/blue. Then on the bottom right of the board the “godlike” light up thing is frozen in yellow. I want to be able to have a full RGB board and not just still color. I provided pictures in this post.

As I wrote already this thread is only for Dynamic Dashboard II / animated screen ...
Your problem seems related to MSI Center/ Mystic Light not being able to change the theme of RGB ...
I suggest you open a dedicated thread
