Hi, I just purchased the GP 62M 7RD gamming laptop. So far the laptop is working great, but I have a few questions regarding its configuration.

-LED wizard: Does this model support different led modes like music, wave, etc? The options on the msi dragon center seems to be aviable, but so far none of them worked...

-Sizing Options: I tried to scale the displayed elements from 125% to 150% in order to read the texts better, but in some applications the texts are slightly blurred. Is there a way to increasse the elements size while maintainging the text and elements sharpness?

-CPU temperature: When doing intensive tasks, my cpu temperatures increase up to 80?. I know they are still in the safe limits, but in order to extend the laptop lifespan I would like to maintain them a bit lower. What's the best way to decrease the CPU temperatures? Lowering the max CPU usage in power settings? eco mode? underclocking in the bios?

-DX12: Altough the GPU drivers are up to date, it seems that I'm unable to run Dx12 applications. For example I can't launch total war warhamer dx12, and the passmark dx12 tests runs on my integrated GPU instead of the GTX 1050. What could that be?

Thanks.

1. The backlight keyboard only supports Single-Color, White.

2. Could you post a picture for that slightly blurred? You could also try to update VGA driver from MSI webpage.

3. You could adjust the power option in Dragon Center

4. Set the Nvidia GPU manually.
a. Click right button of the mouse on desktop and enter NVIDIA Control Panel.

b. Select ?3D Settings?? ?Manage 3D settings?

1. Yes, I know the only color available is white, but I expected he different modes to work (wave, breathing, etc?). I suppose they don't.

2. I have attached two screenshots with different scale settings. It may be difficult to appreciate, but with an scale higher than 125% some applications text is not as sharp as they should.

3. Yes, the ECO setting seems to work well to reduce the CPU temp. But I would like to keep the GPU at max performance, I don't know if that's possible.

4. Yes, solved it, it was a problem of the launcher not running on the dedicated GPU.

On last issue I'm experiencing:

In my previous laptop, the audio settings of both speakers and headphones were managed independently. So when the headphones were connected, the volume would be switched to the settings I had the last time I was using the headphones. But with this laptop both speakers and headphones share settings, and it?s very annoying. (I'm using the audio drivers provided by msi).

Thanks for answering.

I use normal headphones without mic. Sennheiser HD 438 and sennheiser HD 558.

It seems that the audio software Nahimic 2 is recognizing the headphones but not windows 10.

Edit: I tried to remove the drivers, and it works fine. But after I reinstall the realtek drivers, the problem comes again. What could it be?

I already tried to do a clean installation as specified in the FAQ.

I noticed that Nahimic is dettecting the headphones correctly but does not provide an independent volume setting for them. And because windows is getting the audio trough nahimic, it doesn't know if there are headphones pluged or not.

Is this just an issue of my computer or everybody has this same problem because the Nahimic limitations?

I would suggest using latest Help Desk to export the system info and posting the text file in here.

Let other people know your system configuration and software environment.

Ok, I attached the file below.

Besides, could you bring more details about [independent volume setting].

I?m not quite understand that you said [Nahimic is dettecting the headphones correctly. But it doesn't know if there are headphones pluged or not].

Here it is, it seems it was not atached correctly in the last reply.

Independent volume settings means that both speakers and headphones have independent audio volume. So for example if I'm listening my music on the speakers with a volume of 80 and I connect my headphones, the volume will be adjusted automaticly to my last volume used with the speakers. This is done by default in most windows 10 computers, but Nahimic seems to mess it up.

Nahimic is dettecting the headphones correctly because it shows in the panel that they are conected, but doesn't do anything to control its volume independently.

Thanks for your info. I think it won?t keep the independent audio volume.
