A few months after purchasing the Stealth 15M B12UE laptop, I started experiencing performance drops in games. Initially, I noticed that the processor frequency would drop from 3-3.3 GHz to 1-1.5 GHz, so I started using the Cooler Boost mode. Previously, I had the automatic fan control mode enabled. However, even in Cooler Boost mode, I continued to experience frequency drops. The temperatures, though, remained within normal limits. There may be occasional instances where the temperature slightly exceeds the norm for a fraction of a second, but there are no obvious temperature issues.

I'm not sure if the GPU performance drop is related to the CPU frequency decrease, or vice versa, or if the system reduces the performance of both components together. Following MSI support's recommendation, I uninstalled the graphics device drivers and installed the factory ones, and also reset the embedded controller, but it didn't help.

I also sent the laptop to a service center for fan replacement, but I don't remember if the performance issues started before or after that, so that might also be a factor.

These problems seem to arise after approximately 1-2 hours of gaming, and when I restart the laptop and allow it to cool down for a while, the performance drops occur within 30 minutes.

1. Which game do you play? Can you share the FPS variation while gaming?
2. Did you reinstall the Intel & Nvidia graphics drivers on MSI website?
Additionally, you can refer to Notebooks FAQs, Guides and Video Tutorials(Performance Optimization & System Stability) to do some basic troubleshooting.

In Cyberpunk 2077, I used to get a minimum of 60 fps depending on the scene (Ultra settings without ray tracing), but now the fps drops to 20-30. In Apex Legends, I used to get around 140 fps, but it drops to 60-80, and the frame time gets significantly worse. In Assassin's Creed Unity, I used to get close to 100 fps on maximum settings, but like in Apex, it drops to around 60 fps. It's still playable, but the frame time is very poor.
Yes, I fully deleted Nvidia and Intel graphic drivers and installed old drivers from MSI website.
Most segnificant change I think was when I reseted EC, fps still droped but frame time began to look normal

Did you check the laptop's performance?

Here is the previous generation of Stealth 15M, so you should get higher performance than it.
