Strike 600 Dead After Firmware Update – Detected Only as Generic USB Device

Hi all, happy New Year!

I installed Windows 10, then installed MSI Center and performed a firmware update on my MSI Strike 600 keyboard. After the update, the keyboard completely stopped working: no lights turn on and there is no response at all. In Windows 10, the keyboard is no longer recognized as an MSI Strike 600, but only as a generic USB Input Device.

Is there any way to reset the keyboard or reapply/recover the firmware? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Press the FN key (Dragon key) + ESC can reset the keyboard, have you give it a try?
Does the keyboard die right after the firmware update in MSI Center?

Hi, I have the same problem. My keyboard stopped working today. I updated to Windows 11 and it stopped working. Before the update, the LEDs weren't lighting up, but the keyboard was working fine. I need help, please. I've tried resetting the keyboard by pressing fn + esc and it doesn't respond. I've plugged it into another computer and the keyboard connects and responds, showing signs of life, but it doesn't do anything.

I am having the same problem. Has anyone found a solution.
I can't seem to find a way to load the firmware manually. MSI Center doesn't give any options for firmware updates.

Sometimes Firmware needs to be called Murder-Ware

I have German layout keyboard
The Numpad-6-Key isn't working and caps-look sometimes.

Also F1, F5 F8, #1,#3,#5,#7,#9, pos1 and / keys don't have no light anymore

I did the update via MSI-Center - so i do not have the firmware file for re-flash 0053
I also can't find firmware files for Strike600 on the internet :-(

Hi Svet,

thank you for providing the update file.

I double-clicked the FirmwareUpdate.console_105.exe file and waited to 100% and then re-plugged
but it did not change anything :(

The keyboard is still alive - but the numpad-6 is also still dead and so are some light on the upper region
